Reverend Wright's Million Dollar Retirement Home {Luxist}
Apr 3rd 2008 12:46PM It is amazing that this guy has been part of a group that is critical of people like Creflo Dollar, Eddie Long, and TD Jakes for living the high life at the cost of the congregants. I don't see the difference. I am sure everybody at Trinity United Church of Christ isn't living in a $1 million home with an elevator. I imagine you have many living in poverty. Like he has stated about megapreachers. "Couldn't the money be used elsewhere to feed the poor.
But of course. This is a convenience.

Nov 15th 2007 9:19AM People don't understand the tithing and offering is biblical. All of this talk about someone having something someone else doesn't have. Please lets stop being so narrow-minded.
Of course Jesus didn't have a Rolls-Royce or a million-dollar house. He didn't have a Ford Focus or a Chevy Tahoe either. Nor did he have a 3 bedroom house with flat-screen televisions and a dishwasher.
We all have more than Jesus. So before you cast your stone against prosperity (Making progress), make sure it boomerangs and hits you first.
Isn't it funny how the government takes our money before we even see it and wastes it, but we give our money to ministry and they complain.
SImply equation. Big ministry = more money = bigger salary, great compensation package.
Why is it that Christians are to be broke while Tom Cruise and Hollywood can buy $1.3 million Bugatti Veyron and multiple million-dollar houses?

Oct 3rd 2006 10:03PM Nice home. But $34 million. I would pay $10 million. They probably only spent maybe $5 or $6 million to build it. Then again, you could sell 100 1 acre parcels for $500,000 to make a nice profit.
