New Jersey School District to Drug-Test Middle Schoolers {ParentDish}

Jan 13th 2011 4:19PM Who decides what is "random?" Will the results be included in their school records? I would remove my child from that school immediately. This is just wrong on many counts.

W. Virginia Bill Would Yank Your Driver's License if Your Kid Misses Too Much School {ParentDish}

Jan 11th 2011 11:22AM If the parent has no driver's license, how is the child supposed to get to school? How is the parent supposed to get to work? So with this punishment, not only does the child miss out on an education, they lose their food and shelter too. Nice thinking government. Are they brain dead in West Virginia?

Parents' Smoking Can Increase Children's Blood Pressure {ParentDish}

Jan 11th 2011 1:42AM You smokers are in such denial. Smoking kills or at best really makes your final years agonizing. For you to smoke around your children is disgusting. Go on a cruise sometime and you'll find all the smokers from our parents' generation dragging around oxygen tanks. They are so hooked they continue to smoke in between breaths from the tank. It's pathetic. If you want you and your children to spend your retirement years like that, continue to smoke.

The Deal on Tax Cuts: What it Means for You {WalletPop}

Dec 8th 2010 10:12AM Two years ago, gas prices skyrocketed and the Cost of Living Index increased accordingly. A year later, they had fallen drastically and the COSI actually dropped. They could not decrease Social Security payments so they remained the same. This year, gas prices have not risen and the COSI is back to where it was two years ago. Cheap China goods have kept prices and inflation down. Obviously, health care costs are not factored into this index. By the way, Congress's raises are tied to the same index and they also have not received any Cost of Living increases.

Fed up passengers demand child-free flights {Gadling}

Nov 16th 2010 11:12AM I travel a lot for my job. I would much rather sit by a screaming child than a fat, sweaty person who pours over the armrest. I REALLY hate it when they fall asleep, snore, and their head fall to my side of the armrest. It is so disgusting! I have Bose headphones that easily drown out the crying child. The fat, sweaty person is another story!

The last American light bulb: GE stops making its iconic bulb in the U.S. {WalletPop}

Oct 1st 2010 10:45AM Hey Dave, these changes were made long before President Obama was elected. You cannot blame Progressives for the fact that Repugs in this country have every incentive to move jobs offshore. Just this week, your Repugs blocked a bill that would have removed tax benefits to countries who moved their production offshore. Blame the party of "no" for the loss of American jobs.

Jon Stewart Announces DC 'Rally to Restore Sanity' {PopEater}

Sep 17th 2010 6:47PM It looks like Stewart and Colbert have the repugs in here running scared. The silent majority of Stewart/Colbert fans are going to show the whiny, whack-o minority what a Washington D.C. rally really looks like.

Jon Stewart Announces DC 'Rally to Restore Sanity' {PopEater}

Sep 17th 2010 1:19PM The morons are the ones who get their marching orders from a TV channel owned by foreign-born millionaires, including a Muslim terrorist, who have every reason to divide this country. I saw a goose flying today wearing a button that said "D.C. or Bust, October 30, 2011." I think it is a sign from God.

'I Love Boobies' Bracelets: Popular With Kids but Schools Object {ParentDish}

Sep 5th 2010 2:06PM This is all about marketing and breast cancer awareness. "I Love Boobies" attracts much more attention than a pink ribbon. Is "boobies" REALLY such a bad word? I don't think so. I think it is great that young girls have positive feelings about their bodies. Also, if everyone was wearing them, they would not be much of a distraction. I have had both close friends and family die of breast cancer and I know for sure that they would have worn those bracelets if they had been available. Get a sense of humor people!

Is Weight Watchers Biased Against the Overweight? {AOL Jobs}

Sep 1st 2010 2:35AM Are they using one of those handheld gadgets to measure her BMI? They don't measure it properly. In fact, they are pretty worthless. If she exercises regularly, her BMI should be fine at that weight. She needs to be tested with a water displacement test, using real equipment. A good gym or university gym will have this.
