Nation's Report Card Shows Reading Levels of High School Seniors Are Worse Than 20 Years Ago {ParentDish}

Nov 22nd 2010 7:10PM I weep for the future of this country. The "media" is the purveyor of all the ills of our country. They constantly bombard our children with utterly ridiculous ideas of what "real-life" is. You can't necessarily place all the blame on the kids or their parents. Sure, parenting plays a huge part in a childs development. But, by the time kids are 10 and over, they are really more influnced by forrces external to the parent....peers...and peers are victims of the same B.S. being fed to them by the media. Celebrities....Sports Stars....what crap. Me, I'm saving for my own retirement and I'm out of here.
