May 3rd 2009 9:24AM Michael... the fact that McDonald's food is the cause of high blood pressure and high cholesterol is a joke. I have eaten McDonald's every day for the past 30 years and my blood pressure and cholesterol are fine. My husband rarely eats it and he does have high blood pressure and cholesterol. It is not always what you eat but where your genes come from. Gee I wonder if that is why they made that popular commercial about it that says " though diet and lifestyle can play a part it is mostly in the genes."

Feb 28th 2009 12:41PM Shutting down the plant will save thousands in utilites. Just a small fast food chain restaurant cost thousands a month. I commend them for finding better ways to cut expenses effecting jobs or salary. Looks like I am going to change brands. I have to support a company that tries other avenues before asking the Government to bail them out or to cut jobs. Also Frank I would be willing to be that the employees won't have to take vacation time since they are already getting paid. I know that is what Toyota is doing at some of their plants. They pay their workers their average daily pay when they demand they take off.

Oct 26th 2008 4:04PM What gets my goat is that people pay taxes but some at end of year get more back than what they paid. Example: a co-worker of mine only paid 1500 in taxes but got $6k back for earned income credit etc and all that bull. I can understand getting all of what you paid but come on get real. Talk about welfare. And speaking of why don't we make it a law that if you file for welfare you have to be up and getting a job with in so many months and after that job or no job they only get free day care. Also, if you start welfare with 1 kid then they will not cover any more the dumb asses pop out. I get tired of these lazy a**'s sitting at home just popping out more babies to get more welfare. Give me a politician that will address those issues and I don't care what party they are in they'ld get my vote. There are some states in U.S. that have gone to such welfare policies like I mentioned. Why can't they all. They say there are no jobs out there. Yes there are. I can't drive a block with out seeing a now hiring sign. Problem is Americans have gotten lazy and greedy. My son works two jobs to support himself. Some people won't even work one cuz it is not their ideal job or pay. No wonder why Bin Ladin attacked us. It should have been a wake up call.

Sep 28th 2006 7:37PM But I do believe that LOTR had all sign contracts to complete the series. WB should have thought of that when they started. They knew that there were 5 books. They never think ahead. The time to replace her would have been after the first season. Besides I believe that after each one there was always talk of someone wanting to leave.
