Sep 23rd 2010 2:21PM One of the problems that women have with watches is that they are either pieces of jewelry that have no everyday use no matter how beautiful or they are simple day watches with a quartz movement. No wonder more and more women are wearing men's Rolexs and other masculine watches which I think is sexy.
The Harry Winston women's watch that I really like is the Diane with finger like lugs wrapped around the case, still too bejeweled.

The Gucci styling appears much more beautiful then the recent edgy Marc Newson version with uncomfortable seats. My preference is the original for that Monte Carlo to Portofino run with an Italian beauty at my side.

Harry Winston clearly wants to be a serious player in watch making. Their Opus collection is amazing and I have fallen in love with a couple of their Premier ExCenters.
The biggest problem of course is sneaking home a Harry Winston box that is not intended for the lady of the house.

They had been inexpensive even with reconditioned movements and new straps. The prices have been climbing and no-doubt Hamilton has been noticing. I welcome this introduction.

It's Time To Reconsider Motel 6 {Luxist}
May 27th 2010 8:55AM A few days after being comped a suite in the Bellagio, I over paid for two nights in a Motel 6 near a family reunion. It was your typical well worn cheap motel experience except that it was clean and functional, the staff were friendly though poorly trained.
Fortunately I had kept some Bellagio soaps and shampoos. Unfortunately I did not keep any Bellagio towels.
If necessary I would stay in a Motel 6 again without complaining, hopefully it would be a redesigned one in Santa Barbara.
