Dear Deb,
I am an employed black women with no kids. Not all black women or minorities are on the system. And not all white people are hard working citizens that are supporting everyone else. Black people make up about 11% of the US population and whites make up about 60-75% of the US population. There are probably more white people sitting at home on the system then total minorities.
Everything shouldn't be about race!

Apr 17th 2010 8:52AM Why does everyone go to work so late? I have to be at work at 8. We have some flexibility but the latest you can be there is 9. It's different that some of the people featured don't make it to work until 10. Interesting. I could see going to work that late but I wouldn't want to stay much past 6 at the latest. That would be a really compressed work schedule.

Apr 12th 2010 4:27PM Every job that I've applied for in the retail field or service field (Like publix or kroger) ask if you are on TANF or SNAP. It's related to WOTC which is tax breaks for the employer. If you've ever answered questions about applying or someone in your household on TANF or SNAP you are being asked about food stamps.
And to get it right about the race and food stamps. Black people make up approximately 12-13% of the US population and whites make up about 75% of the US population. So do you really think you are helping more black people or more white people. Do the math there are probably more white people living under the poverty level then it is all minorities combined. Please stop with the four-five babies single black mothers on welfare. Let's not forget about the poor towns all over the south and midwest that are struggling too.

So that tells me that you are either living in the black community or you are working in the black community or you are patronizing businesses in the black community. Bush probably took the same amount of "time off" if you want to call it that, but he was scared of the American people. Scared of us seeing him so he hid behind Camp David's doors and other places. Give me a break. This is the most disrespect that I've seen in years. CRAZY. Bush ran this country into the ground and Obama was handed a huge mess to BEGIN to fix and that's what he's doing. Trying to fix the mess your 2 term prez got us into.
