Is NBC Dead? {Inside TV Blog}

Oct 5th 2009 12:21AM This is becoming a SPAM message board except for some that really care to express their views on the subject it is intended for.
I hope the best for NBC. If they change the time slots on some of the shows where the ratings are slipping, it mightjust make a world of difference.

7 Stable Jobs {AOL Jobs}

Jun 11th 2009 10:55AM Whatever happened to the price freezes? That really helped our people get back on their feet when this economic problem was apparent the last time.

I find that some business are cutting the hours down so much that you certainly cannot live on the wages and it forces people to look elsewhere. This seems to be the thing to do, these days. With the high costs of everything, including gasoline there is just no way 10 to 16 hours a week of employment will help you very much. Depending upon haw far someone commutes that has had their hours cut down so much, the only thing that the wages pay for are the gasoline to get there, back and purchase something to eat hopefully.

Companies That Hire Part-Time Workers {AOL Jobs}

Mar 9th 2009 12:41PM I sure agree with your post. They hire these people because they work for for less wages, mostly. The trouble is we are all working for less if you look at the down sizing of wages, full time hours to part time hours or unemployment. The only solution I can see is to work for yourself. Too many scams on work from home offers. If you have to pay someone to work for them in the beginning, there is something wrong with that.

Landing a Part-time Job {AOL Jobs}

Feb 23rd 2009 8:11AM Work part time? Not in my area. Stores are not hiring even part time people that I know of and I am always keeping my eyes/ears open. I talked with an assistant manager at the local grocery and he told me he has to work as cashier, plus do his regular job at the same company.

Being an independent contractor in this county is expensive to start up in. So where is the help?

Don't fall for that Amish heater if you want to save money {WalletPop}

Feb 17th 2009 11:39PM I have one of those heaters and it works fine. Not only that but it have saved on my electric bill. My furnace came on less. All you have to do is use it in the room size or smaller the heater is intended for, make sure your home is winterized. It also depends upon what setting you have it on. When the room is warm enough then adjust the temperature knob. This made a great Christmas gift for me. .

Fantasia Forecloses: 'American Idol' Winner May Lose Her North Carolina Home {Blackvoices Main}

Dec 11th 2008 7:44AM I am so tired of reading and hearing that we are not a responsible party. I beg your pardon. Speak for yourself. You hear that is a good answer to some of us being broke so you believe what you hear. That is easy to do. Try looking into some of the people that are doing all they can and see how they are struggling. I cannot believe you that say this about others are so shallow minded and this is my opinion. For your information I have cut back all that I am able to. I do not go out, I cut the breaker on my hot water heater when I do not need the hot water to save on the electric bill,I bundle up at home so I do not have to have the furnace go on any more then to keep it from freezining inside. I do not stop at the store when and if I can afford to unless it is on my way home from work. Oh, did I mention my hours have been cut back from full time to part time? I am also a senior citizen and even at that I am just making barely enough not to get help as I do not qualify. Go figure that one. So do not tell me we are a nation of spoiled people that are throwing our money away. Not all of us live as you suggest we do.

Wegmans slashing grocery prices {WalletPop}

Nov 11th 2008 6:39PM There isn't a chain store here. All that we ever see is high and higher prices. People cannot afford to buy at these prices here.
Once they raise the prices they just keep going up using any old excuse. What happened to the price gouging complaints and something done about them?
