15 Bands That Got Banned {Spinner}

Feb 6th 2010 2:18PM It uaed to be that I enjoyed reading comments and doing so myself, but now that all the jerks in the world are putting their products in the mix, I've pretty much stopped reading them or slide right over those that are tied to any type of product. Really a shame that a few folks can't follow the rules and screw things up for the rest of us!!!!!

Is There Still a Future for Soap Operas? {Inside TV Blog}

Dec 10th 2009 7:45PM My mom got me hooked on a soap (As the World Turns) when I was still in grade school. Remember being "sick" on days that were to be especially good. Eventually got hooked on "The Guiding Light" because it followed ATWT - and watched them both off and on (mostly on) for 40 years - the time they were on was MY time, even when my kids were little, and I grew up with a lot of the characters - both will be sorely missed. When I think about the quality of actors and actresses that have gone from soaps to having movie and TV careers, I find it sad that young actors and actresses won't have this opportunity to hone their craft.

Do ginormous fast-food helpings need warning labels? Nope {Daily Finance}

Nov 30th 2009 7:28PM although I usually check labels, I had a coupon to try a Boston Market dinner and bought one - was reading the label and home and discovered that this ONE meal had 2900+mg of salt. Since seniors buy many of the frozen dinners on the market, and this is in effect like saying 'here,, have a happy day and probably a stroke, I would think that a warning label on the FRONT of the box might be helpful! I threw away the dinner and took the box to my MD, who was as appalled as I!

Megan Joy Corkrey Voted Off 'American Idol' {AOL TV: American Idol}

Apr 4th 2009 5:30PM Megan is gorgeous, so there's no doubt she will end up with some type of musical career - that is, if she can ever get a handle on that horrible vibrato that makes her sound so off-key. Have been waiting since the first week for her to get dumped and can still remember a few from auditions that should have made it rather than her -

10 Movies to See Before You Die {Shopping Articles Blog}

Mar 3rd 2009 2:21AM Three that I think you missed are "The African Queen", with Bogart and Hepburn at their very best, "The Ghost and Mrs. Muir", guaranteed to bring a tear, and "Charade", one of the most twisting and turning mysteries ever filmed!

What's Your Favorite Type of Dog? {AOL Hot Searches}

Justin Timberlake on Britney {Spinner}

Jan 22nd 2008 1:39AM I would really like to see what would happen with Ms. Spears if the media just totally ignored her for a week or so. She'd have no reason to do all the dumb stuff 'cuz there'd be nobody arround to report on it! Am sure the vulture paparazzi would never go along with it, but it would be interesting............

Rosie Demonstrates Inversion Therapy {AOL Video Blog}

Mar 12th 2007 1:01AM Matbe her "depression" explains why shortly after she got her own show she became such a push know-it-all about everything, many times not realizing how ridiculous she sounded to those who actually knew about the fields she was trying to be an "expert" at. Have stopped watching The View and only because of Rosie -

John Lennon's House For Sale {Luxist}

Oct 15th 2006 11:31AM John Lennon, sadly, believed his own PR and overestimated his importance to the Beatles, to the world of music, and to the world in general at the time of the Beatles' popularity. The songs he wrote were perhaps anthems for the time, but Paul McCartney wrote the Beatles songs that eventually became the classics of today. John loved to shock - his "more popular than Jesus" statement, his marriage to Yoko, their nude photo lay-out. This should not be confused with some "guru-like" insight.

To salt or not to salt, that is the question {That's Fit}

Sep 23rd 2006 10:40AM I normally read labels on everything I buy, but got a coupon for a FREE Boston Market frozen dinner some time back and threw one in my cart that looked OK - got home and glanced at the label - 2900 mg of salt in just the one meal!!! I am concerned because so few seniors check labels and this is just like selling them a stroke!!! Threw the dinner away and took the label to my doctor, who was totally shocked! This is a major reason why salt in prepared food should be regulated!
