Montreal Penthouse, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Dec 31st 2009 9:53AM The location is not that bad, Old Montreal is a trendy neighbourhood. Only the views from the property are a bit depressing in winter time :) But it is much better in summer.
Interestingly, million-dollar properties are becoming the norm in Montreal nowdays, I'm counting about 300 1milion+ properties downtown. A few years ago this was literally unheard of, you could grab 5000 sq.ft lofts for half a million in this neighbourhood. Even whole 8-story buildings with stone cut facade went for under the million. Now condos in the same buildings are selling for several millions!
