Oct 6th 2010 3:08PM I would have used it on my back porch, in my Sukkah! This Sukkot it got pretty chilly at night here in Indianapolis, but barring waiting till next year to use it back there again I'd probably use it this upcoming fall on a nice Turkey Run camping trip, west of Indy.

Jul 21st 2010 11:42AM Went canyoneering in the Golan heights in Israel and was very careful to not drink any of the seemingly clear and beautiful water that we were rapelling and jumping into in the Black Canyon. Unfortunately I forgot to wash off the mouthpiece for my camelback that I had in my pack before I used it again...

Nov 20th 2008 3:14PM The Amazon Kindle changed the way I think about entertainment while traveling. I like to travel light and like to read on planes. Planes are a wonderful source of distractionless time to catch up on my reading. However while trying to travel light it often forces you to make some tough decisions. "Is this book too big and heavy, is this one too short so I'll have to take another?" The Kindle eliminates all these sorts of questions from my mind.

May 15th 2008 10:19AM Personally I think that 2 million is just an arbitrarily high sum to ensure that he does get everything that is coming to him.
I am not a proponent of litigious activity but in this case I think it is fully justified. Not only was it a matter of discomfort and inconvenience but reckless endangerment.
The comfort of an employee WHO HAD A SEAT should not come before a customer (paying or not) having to sit in any place without a seatbelt.
It was certainly not within standard procedure to make the man sit in the bathroom so I would have thought that making him sit in the jumpseat (which isn't standard procedure) would have been the preferred measure, as at least it has a seatbelt.
Whether or not there was turbulence, the pilot was putting that man at unecessary risk by making him sit anywhere that didn't have an FAA required seatbelt. The pilot should quite frankly lose his job and the passenger should get whatever he asks for.

Feb 19th 2008 11:52AM Personally, reclining is the only way I can even approach comfort in an airline seat. Its not as if the seat is NOT intended to recline. The way I always figured it, everyone should sit back and relax together, its our best bet to make the most of a cramped environment.
