Target making inroads into Walmart's base, survey finds {WalletPop}

May 5th 2010 6:34PM I have not spent one cent of my money in a walmart in years; the final straw for me was a cashier that treated my elderly grandmother like crap and really upset her. I called and complained to the store manager and after they spoke with the guy they called me and told me that he admitted to his actions and had no excuse. That was the final snub that I was going to deal with at any walmart. #1 to me is the customer service experience and I have not seen anything in my experience or from friends experiences to tell me that the store has changed for the better.
I had finally went into one (it took alot for me to do that since just sitting in their parking lot is nauseating) this past xmas with a friend while she shopped for her daughter and as soon as you walked through the front doors the overwhelming smell of jerry curl grease hit you; as we looked around the electronics department the smell changed to urine, I would not have been surprised if someones kid had pissed on an endcap. Would you shop in a store like that? I don't think so.

Army's Generous Pay, Benefits: Are Skyrocketing Costs Sustainable? {Politics Daily}

May 4th 2010 6:58AM As an Army wife who's husband has been active duty for 17+ year, he has never received and of these extra bonuses for enlistment and re-enlistment that are mentioned in the above article. It is very frustrating for me to see these new soldiers coming in who have not proven themselves, getting all these bonuses, and then leaving the Army once their 4 years or so is up where as my husband, who has proved his worth and has stuck through it, has received NOTHING. The Military needs to give the bonuses to the ones that deserve it, the ones that have done their time and proven their worth.

Somalia Radicals Declare Music 'Un-Islamic,' and Radio Goes Tuneless {Politics Daily}

Apr 25th 2010 4:05PM Just shows how moronic people can be! Every time you give into one demand, they will just make another until they are in total control. When will these people grow a backbone and a "pair" and start ignoring these extremist whack jobs?

High crimes: Military towns are among the country's most dangerous {Daily Finance}

Nov 17th 2009 10:45AM Military paid well my ass! Maybe if my husband was an officer we'd be rolling in it, but as an enlisted soldier it is very difficult to make ends meet (even though I do manage to do it every month without any assistance). Do me a favor and look up military pay rates, the descrepencies between officers and enlisted pay is ridiculous (yet it's the enlisted doing the grunt work and the officers sitting in their office signing paperwork)
