Nov 17th 2010 8:56PM I don't pretend to have the answer, but consider this.....in a perfect world, we could all refuse security measures and be guaranteed a perfectly safe flight. However, we live in a world where people will stop at nothing to bring planes down or crash them into buildings and this includes trying to smuggle weapons in one's genital areas. If there is not chance of search, then you have condemned the whole airline industry to bombings and hijackings. I don't like the intrusion either, but if it a choice between a safe flight or having my name engraved on a memorial to another terrorist attack, I will take the former. The funny thing is that the people who are making the biggest fuss are the very ones who will be the first to wring their hands and wail about how the system needs fixed the next time a plane is hijacked and either blown up or crashed into a building.
IT IS VERY EASY TO CRITICIZE THE SYSTEM AND COMPLAIN, BUT I DON'T HEAR ANY POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS.

Sep 27th 2010 3:58PM If you find a book offensive, don't read it!! What these people who wish to ban books aren't saying is "This book is offensive to me, I am not going to read it." What they are saying is "I find this book offensive, no one should read it."
There are many things in this country I find highly objectionable, but as a disabled vet and American, freedom means we need to tolerate ALL points of view, whether we object to them or not!!

May 31st 2010 9:45AM I have followed NASCAAR from the 1960's and I literally hate today's NASCAAR. Never in my life have I seen so many whiny-assed crybabies.
