Porsche is designing reading glasses now {Autoblog}

Jan 22nd 2008 7:38PM Porsche design pipes are really good. Now, Porsche Design cigar lighters on the other hand.... beautiful, and awful functionality.

Up Holland, Estate of the Day {Luxist}

Dec 29th 2007 8:28AM Deidre, I hear what you're saying about the $$ needed to bring this historic home up to modern taste, but I think its an unfair comparisson to the Tusculum estate.

That estate is listed at triple the price; it is my belief that with $8mil of reno and restoriation, the above house would be a magnificent estate like Tusculum too.

Spicewood Ranch, Estate of the Day {Luxist}

Dec 25th 2007 7:16AM That reminds me ...

I had a client walk into a triplex (while the tenants where home), look at the pantry in the kitchen, and said (again, in front of current tenants) "Nice, a fourth bedroom!"

He was kidding, but the tenants weren't amused.

Historic Hill, Estate of the Day {Luxist}

Nov 14th 2007 6:18AM That Zillow has no credibility?
Well, here is one - it tries to 'value' a home without looking at it. A bit of an imperfect science.

A property is worth what a buyer and seller agree to sell/buy it for in a reasonable amount of time. A Zillow zestimate gives your a nice flavour of the assessed values of the area, but very little insight into the property itself

Sunday Real Estate Round-Up {Luxist}

Feb 12th 2006 12:28PM Bob Guccione's apartment isn't actually for sale at $99,999,999 - they're actually having a sealed envelope auction to decide who buys it. From what I heard, they are letting qualified buyers tour the property soon, and then they will present their bids in a sealed envelope to be opened in April. It's comparable to $50 million townhouses that have sold recently.

Porsche Design Cigar Cutter {Luxist}

Feb 9th 2006 7:11PM This is a great cigar cutter! I love Porsche Design's cigar accessories - I use a PD 3633 to light my cubans - but their best, most luxurious products are the carbon fiber cigar cases, humidors and ashtrays. They range from 300-2000 and are fantastic.

Felipe Gregorio Capas Cigars {Luxist}

Jan 28th 2006 5:45PM Hmmm.... more non-cuban cigars on Luxist? Now, maybe you aren't one who enjoys a fine cigar, but why do you even post these? It's akin to a timex - cheap, available and bares a resembelance to more expensive watches. There is no comparison - Cuban Cigars are the cartier of cigars, dominican, honduran and all others just don't measure up.
Why don't you cover more cuban cigars? I fancy myself a bit of an aficianado, and I'd be more than glad to contribute posts on really luxurious smokes - cigars like the Partagas Series D #3 LE from 2001, or Montecristo Robusto LE's that aren't available anymore. Cigars that deserve to be profiled here!
