Jan 29th 2010 6:59PM Unfortunately for Mr. Leno (plus Mr. Gaspin, Mr. Zucker and the rest of NBC's executive ranks), this story just won't go away. The endless explanations and press releases don't seem to help much, either - much less, on-air interviews with soul-searching galore. And a big part of that is the history involved. Like Letterman said, 'I know it's not his (Leno's) fault. But isn't it funny how he always turns up at the scene of the crime?'

Jan 28th 2010 3:55PM Ironic, isn't it? As shown by this article (and unfortunately for Mr. Leno and his bosses at NBC), the basic story of their programming fiasco just won't go away. And their endless stream of carefully worded explanations - much less, soul-searching interviews on 'Oprah' - don't seem to be helping much, either. I suspect a big reason for this is Leno's complicated history with the network.
