Apr 14th 2010 6:35PM as long as SP remains popular, she will continue to split the consevative party in two ( the smart ones and the not so smart ones ) thus ending any hope of gaining the majority for whomever she endorses in 2012.
i say endorses because she will never run for president.
the job doesn't pay enough.
and besides, who would elect a president that may quit half way through?
that's a "no brainer". get it? hahahahahahahahaha.

Mar 24th 2010 7:08PM here's what history tells us:
in prior democracies, when opposing sides believe they are the majority, the fighting begins.
first, fighting among the people,
then the people fighting against their government.
if a truce cannot be called, revolution will follow.
each side believing that, when it's over, their side will be victorious.
but in reality, both sides lose.
and a vacancy is created for the new leader,
the oligarchy, the dictator, the end.

Mar 7th 2010 10:25PM the only way our federal government can serve the general welfare of all it's citizens is to be part capitalist and part socialist. we are currently experiencing the effects of runaway capitalism. a healthy fear of socialism is a good thing, but a healthy fear of capitalism is equally important. if we can strike a healthy balance, our children and our grandchildren may still have a chance to live happily ever after.
Jay Leno Returns to 'The Tonight Show' Saying, 'It's Good to Be Home' {PopEater}
Mar 2nd 2010 5:16PM hey. here's what you're missing. nbc put leno back because conan was failing. it was a tough spot to be in, for sure. leno failing at 10 and conan failing afterward. nbc made the best possible choice for themselves, that's what corporations do. they were fortunate that leno would go along with them, otherwise both ships would have soon sank. the upside of this is that you don't have to watch letterman. see? it could always be worse!

Feb 28th 2010 6:19PM the anti health care reform pledge: "i'm ok with that"
1. i promise never to complain about the rising cost of private health care insurance, i'm ok with that.
2. i promise never to complain about the greedy and dicriminatory practice of private health care insurers, i'm ok with that.
3. i promise never to complain about their policy regarding preexisting conditions, even though the older i get the more likely i am to aquire one, i'm ok with that.
4. i promise not to complain when my employer can no longer afford to provide medical insurance, i'm ok with that.
5. i promise never to complain about treatments that are not covered by my current policy. it's entirely up to the insurance company to decide what they will and will not cover, i'm ok with that.
6. i promise never to complain about the skyrocketing cost of prescription drugs, i'm ok with that.
i am sure there are many items i left off so feel free to add to the pledge. i'm ok with that, too.

Feb 22nd 2010 12:18PM 'over the top' has been the standard in the entertainment business for a couple of decades now. over the top actors, comediens, djs etc. each new act going a little farther than the one before. this can only work in a society that is really repressed in the first place. imagine that. the irony here is that freedom of speech has been the law of the land forever, yet, 200 years later, we still haven't gotten used to it. now who can we blame for that? bush? or obama? ;)
