Borrego Ranch Resort & Spa Up For Sale, May Close {Luxist}

Oct 28th 2009 8:14PM A wonderful place to vacation alone, with visitors and especially with family when it was the Casa del Zorro! We spent many happy holidays at the resort.
When it changed hands we felt very unwelcome. Our last holiday as they changed ownership, a security detail hired by the new owners, a disreputable crew of poorly trained youths, followed us everywhere, slept in rooms over ours, threw their cigarette butts down on our terrace. The old management apologized but could do nothing.
Prices went up a good amount and children were no longer welcomed.
Spas are a dime a dozen, haughtiness is common . The new owners should have done their research better and recognized who their clientele had been and could be. It is so sad. We remember it well.
