Barbara Boxer: Please Call Me 'Senator' {Politics Daily}
Jun 18th 2009 10:37PM actually military does not address their superiors as "yes sir/ma'am"
There are 2 forms of address : "Yes, Sergeant major!" and "Yes, sir Lieutenant!" (rank is arbitrary)
Officers in equivalent positions would also adress each other by rank, and not just as sir/ma'am.
Look it up.
Holders of an advanced degree are as well addressed by their highest degree, i.e. "Dr. Jones" not "Mr./Mrs Jones"
And it is only appropriate that holders of high-ranking positions are addressed by their position, at least in an official setting.
(how would you feel if a reporter addressed Bush during his tenure as Mr. Bush instead of Mr. President?)
Gisele Bündchen Scores Her Very Own Super Bowl Ring {Stylelist (Main)}
May 9th 2009 11:32PM Debbie, with the economy in the toilet, people losing jobs, young soldiers dying every day in Iraq and Afganistan, is this really necessary for you to be talking shit on this website? You COULD be volunteering in a soup kitchen, you lazy indulgent sow!
Giselle's ring is disappointing. watch them get divorced within a year or two. A man who makes millions marries a supermodel, and all he invested to show his commitment is 100 k. What a cheapskate.
The One Sure Way to Stop Sexual Harassment {Lemondrop}
Feb 28th 2009 7:25AM HR person telling you not to do something that will make her job more complicated?
I wonder why would she do such a thing... Certainly must be to protect YOUR interests!
If a sexual harrassment case is not resolved fairly within the company, suing the company isn't the only option (but if you do, you don't even have to prove that you've been sexually harassed, you only have to show that the company failed to follow the recommended administrative procedures for resolving suc a conflict) - there is also state's labor authority, that will in many cases go to court on your behalf.
Moreover, you would forego any seniority-based advancement consideration, and changing jobs often does not look good on a resume.
And the way the economy is right now - good luck finding another job

Nov 18th 2008 8:36PM I think it would have been a lot more fun if they just said: "Bearded Lady is having a baby! :))"
Holla If This $5-Footlong Ad is a Racist Dis {Blackvoices Main}
Oct 15th 2008 8:26PM When I see sweatband and aviators, i think of 80's classic tennis get-up, as seen on this girl: http://www.flickr.com/photos/dazeofrock/1867727478/
or this guy: http://www.flickr.com/photos/studiophive/176007097/
or even this dude making fun of the look: http://www.flickr.com/photos/benweetman/2808676455/
I am honestly baffled as to why you would even try to associate the classic retro tennis look with "opression of your people"
A Sex Life to Dye For {Lemondrop}
Oct 13th 2008 1:19PM Maureen Burley, no, actually marylin monroe was a brunette and before going platinum blonde she went through a redhead stage.
So your rant about bleach blondes? .... yeah, you should just stop lol
A Sex Life to Dye For {Lemondrop}
Oct 13th 2008 1:11PM women who dye their hair blonde
------------
the key word is DYE.
The study doesn't compare natural blondes and brunettes, it compares BLEACH blondes and everyone else (including natural blondes).
What it means is that your hair color has nothing to do with your sex life (or at least there wasn't a study showing any corellations), but if you are unhappy with yourself and want to change yourself to get more attention (quote: The study showed the most popular reasons behind women dying their hair were to get attention) then yes, you would be more likely to also seek attention by being more promiscuous, or starting drama over minor things.

Oct 13th 2008 12:50PM Um, the clothes for he shoot are almost never model's own - usually a designer or a store provides them.
They are worn gently, with tags atached, and then sold as new.
But of course Boydie would have known that if she had ANYTHING to do with fashion :)
Happily married? Divorce is still an option {ParentDish}
Aug 27th 2008 2:58PM starlightfl, are you freaking real?
are you this unfuckingbelievably stupid to let a man live in your house and only pay half of the utilities, instead of half of the utilities, RENT (since the house is yours) and for whatever he ruined at a PREMIUM.
if you are smart you would file for divorce and as for the reasons mention that he only married you for green card. also file a report with immigration and have the bastard deported
Midnight Train to Georgia (Via Beijing) {Politics Daily}
Aug 11th 2008 7:20PM south osetia won de facto independence back in the 90's, it is like Kuwait and Iraq.
Moreover it maintained its autonomy from Georgia even under the soviet rule, and fought for its independence since the 1800's.
Georgia picked the beginning of the olympics to launch an offensive and killed more than 150 russian peace-keepers; then and only then did the russian tanks start rolling.

Also people need to remember that the region is prime opium-growing real estate. Look at the Georgian president's eyes, here are some pictures, i don't even need to say anything :)
