Americans appreciate your service, but few people are going to hire someone simply because he was a veteran. Persons over 40 do and do not get jobs depending upon their skills. I had a friend who was over 50 and turned down from many jobs but that changed a qualification to supply chain management, and get one rather quickly. How you characterize your background and what skills you bring can determine success.
