Cellphone-only households on the rise, landlines crying a river {Engadget}
May 15th 2008 11:25AM At any cost a landline is a waste of my money.

Poll: Did you pre-order a MacBook Air? {Engadget}
Jan 15th 2008 5:17PM The MacBook Air should be the first in line. Not the second in line. I am confused as to what type of person can really take advantage of this computer.
Apple's .Mac getting a Google overhaul? {Engadget}

Ask Engadget: How do you shop for a HDTV? {Engadget}
Apr 30th 2007 10:17PM Ahh my friend, clearly you aren't a gadget whore like me. I don't really know exactly what thick things you are talking about. My DVD player is my mac mini, nothing thick about that. My video games are my Wii and xbox 360 which can be made slim by propping them on their side. There is my receiver, and you've got me there, its pretty clunky, but thats really about it.
The fact of the matter is, I live in a small space, so if I can essentially reduce 1+ feet from my TV, not to mention reduce the weight of the TV in the process (for future moves, etc) then it pays for itself. I have a 46" Aquos, do you know how deep that thing would be if it was a CTR? Do you realize that I would have to basically rearrange the small 1BR that I live in to facilitate such a beast? Aesthetics are worth something, just look at anything Apple :)
Apple Mac Pros: now with 8-cores {Engadget}
Apr 4th 2007 9:36AM After just buying a Mac Pro and THEN hearing about the 8 core macs I got freaked. I'm happy to say that nothing changed, they just added the 8 core option which I wouldn't have gone for anywho.
Engadget gets a BlackBerry massage {Engadget}
Mar 19th 2007 6:56PM As a Manhattanite I can attest to the fact that there are a ton of these massage places that look really sketchy but in most cases are pretty good.
And yes, from what I have seen, it is pretty common for there to be one big room and basically sectioned off areas that are divided with bamboo screens. If you cracked a knuckle... everyone in the place would hear it. Sketchy, at first, but if you find a good place then just enjoy the massage. I mean, is it worth paying double the price just so you can feel like its not sketchy?
PS3 hits Europe: "And by 'backwards compatible,' we mean Eragon" {Engadget}
Mar 14th 2007 9:08AM Sony should have done two things, one of which would be criticized, one which wouldn't have:
1) They should have just dropped PS2 support, period. While we have become accustomed to playing our old games on new systems since everything is on a CD now, I remember the days when NES did not fit into SNES so to remedy it you just swapped them out. Period. This would have reduced costs and not caused such a shit storm after they promise and then screw up the feature.
2) They should have charged for online gaming, people aren't annoyed by this. I spend 40 bucks a year for LIVE and you know what, its 40 bucks well spent. But now they are implementing a poor online service and most likely losing money on it as well.
My 2 cents.
BetterLight intros 416-megapixel digital camera back {Engadget}
Mar 9th 2007 5:58PM At a certain point, won't you be able to just use digital cameras as microscopes? I mean, I know this model requires the subject to be still, but just think about it.
