Do the airlines check to see if someone is a child molester or sex offender before they board a plane? It would be fantastic to travel around and no we are safe from criminals etc. this is the real world we don't live in bubbles. These people walk among us everyday and they were not the cause of the ship grounding.

Apr 11th 2011 1:31AM Before I read this article and for years I can't wear or touch any of the sun screens with zinc or oxides. As soon as I do I get the metal taste in my mouth,if I as an adult am having this reaction what do you think children are being exposed to when all this stuff in lathered on them constantly. There is going to be effects after long time use parents had better become more knowledgeable. Metal is being rubbed onto your children.

Mar 9th 2011 11:32PM I grew up with Peter and Tink and that is the way it should have stayed. However, because of the lack of imagination to come up with something new they gave Tink a life before Peter. Sort of like the remakes of all the movies - that are never as good as the original. I love Tink and collect her pins and statues, but, not a fan of the new stuff.

Feb 7th 2011 10:48AM Why the assumption that it was the male who cheated. My ex daughter-in-law cheated, cheated and my son - fool - took her back. She never changed her ways. She was a lying manipulating psycho when he married her and she still is. Now it is costing him thousands of dollars because she doesn't believe he has very little money - income changed - can't be a big spender.
What I want to know is , when does the court stop allowing appeals and start telling people you are wasting time and money. When can he start suing her for harassment?
Some of the laws pertaining to divorce and parenting are bizarre. How does one go about changing.

Oct 28th 2010 8:38AM To all big people: This is not discrimination. The seats on the planes are small and if you are larger than the seat you should have to buy two seats. I would think you wouldn't want to take up a quarter of my seat? Maybe the airlines should consider making a seat and a 1/2 for larger people. I flew to New York on a commuter plane and the person next to me literally was touching me the entire trip because their arm was over the arm rest on me and so was their leg. There were no seats for me to move to. I moved as far over to the window as possible.
If the seat is only 17 inches and you measure 40 inches common sense says " You are too large for the seat"!!! I shouldn't have to endure someone leaning on me.

Oct 27th 2010 1:16PM His statement is stupid and lacks common sense. To say that people should decide what is essential is bizarre. Is security check flawed yes. Is there consistency through the US Airports NO. However, it is better then nothing and if we let everyone do whatever they wanted and something happened then we would blame the government. Damned if we do Damned if we don't.
We are an impatient people. Relax . If you can't be a flexible traveler DON'T travel!!!

May 10th 2010 10:42PM I have been on Prilosec since 1995. I was told then that in a study in England rats got stomach tumors from the drug. I was also diagnosed with barretts and prilosec has been a life saver for me. I bought an electric bed so that I can adjust to a reclining position for sleep it worked for awhile . I take it 2x a day , sometimes once a day and pepcid at night. If I don't take it I have terrible heartburn by noon without eating a thing.

Apr 18th 2010 11:41PM There is no consistancy with what the tsa employees do. One stopped my husband for a search because he pants pocket looked like there was something in them and they were baggy, with the same pants the same stuffed pockets the same airport no one questioned it, yet on the same flight my son was stopped because his pants looked baggy , believe me they weren't. He is a very conservative 38 yr. old. I fly once or twice a month and I truly believe some of the people wouldn't know how to identify anything unless it was in plain site. I do believe making this statement from all my US travels most look minority or foreign and I would really be interested in stats of how many Americans vs. others are tsa employed? For over 5 yrs. my name on my passport is spelled wrong, one person has questioned this and I just say turn to the back page there is an addendum the government corrected this . That one person was in Cancun. At LGA it took an agent 4 times to find my name to give me a boarding pass. He handed me the pass I didn't read it when I got to security it wasn't my name, not even close. He couldn't find and to get rid of me he gave me someone elses. He should have been fired.
