Mar 2nd 2011 10:30AM YouMOST CERTAINLY CAN train cats to go in the car I KNOW I did it. You HAVE to get them when they are small & be consistant. Take them EVERY time you go in the car. My cat would get into the car when the door opened as he WANTED to go with me. I had to fight him off when I went to Taco Bell really. Cats RULE dogs drule. Cats have to be cheaper to maintain as others said their food is cheaper BUT not if you buy premium food. Look at the labesl it says Meat-by-Products do you have ANY idea what that means. Hair is protein you know so they can put some of that in there along with nails. Unfortunately I can't afford more expensive food as I have to many but I do rescue so. Also keep in mind kittens are cute BUT you do not know if they are going to be a snuggly kitty or what as it gets older. Adopting an adult cat or even a teenage cat you can KNOW THE PERSONALITY unfortunatelay most people go for color or some other silly notion of what it is going to be in their head.

I do cat rescue and have about 30 cats at the present. There are places on Long Island NY that spay/neuter for $63 which includes rabies and distemper shots also. That is cheaper than buying sneekers for your kid(s) I wouldn't have it any other way. Often I have 7 or more sleeping with me.

Nov 26th 2010 9:16AM I'm thankful none of my family is talking to me therefore they don't invite me & I don't have to pretend to like the food I really don't care for all that much. I'd eat it if I were on a desert island & dying but to give thanks for it. I don't think so. Keep not talkling to me it was most pleasant to spend the day with my 32 rescued cats cooking THEM a turkey & I had LOBSTER. The cats were REALLY happy as happy as they make me.
I'm thankful when I talk to someone who understands that this along with any other war we've ever been unfortunate to get involved in is a political thing and the politicians NEED TO BE THE ONES TO BE FIGHTING not the average John & Jane Doe giving their lives for some assholes. Not many understand this as they think it's great to fight.
I'm particularly happy I am able on my little social security check to be able to help as many cats as I am able to help AND I hope I can keep doing it until I can't lift a cat any longer.

Nov 25th 2010 5:16PM I have no product or my product is cats. I am like my email address says a cat trapper. Here on Long Island NY we are over run with feral cats BECAUSE people do NOT get their animals spay/neutered and when the aren't cute anymore they seem to think it is O.K. to throw them out to fend for themselves. I hear in Calif they instituted a program whereby you can't buy or rent an apartment or condo or townhouse without showing that your animal was spayed/neutered. I think it is LONG over due here as well. People call me to come catch the ferals in their yard that THEY have been feeding & when I tell them there is a charge then I hear "they aren't my cats" I'm sure if you were able to talk to the cats they wouldn't see it that way. I need to educate the public so we can put a dent in this population. There are 6 MILLION put to death each year. What a SAD comentary on human beings. I think this is VERY VERY IMPORTANT information that needs to be brought to the attention to the public but I'm sure I wouldn't even be considered for her or any other show. You all loose. Nov 21st 2010 7:48AM I'm sorry to see only one stupid comment here but I will add mine anyway. The human race should be ashamed of itself. Yes people put family members in mental institutions and forget about them. I was in one but thankfully not forgotten BUT they gave me shock treatment for what who knows to this day. After when I went for therapy on the outside I was told just to forget about that part of my life. IS ANYONE PAYING attention FORGET. Those "forget" people are the insane ones I could never forget that ordeal. NOW I do cat rescue & I find the same thing. People have a problem with a cat and they look for people who do rescue to take the problem off their hands & FORGET ABOUT IT. One lady HAD to have these kittens 4 months later the one Pd outside the box on her furniture so I wound up with it. She said she would give me $50 a month for his care. I HAD TO EMBARASE her into doing it one month now of course I haven't heard from her again. This is a sad commentary on the ills of mankind. IF there is a god I don't think much of him that he would create a species that would do this to its' own kind AND other species as well. These same humans can't afford to keep one or 2 animals becaused of the economy PLEASE try a new story I am caring for 32 cats on $997 a month so it MOST CERTAINLY CAN BE DONE they are just to cheap and don't want to give up any of the stuff they get or do for themselves. I do manage to go away from time to time and even to the movies now & then so it CAN BE DONE. To THESE HUMANS I say hope I NEVER run into anymore of you cause I think you stink.

Not a dam thing so why don't you give it up & go on with your life people don't care how you met your boyfriend. You're happy with him that's all that matters. I see you saying the same thing over & over & over. Not interested. Nor is it interesting the female is the one doing most of the work in a relationship anyway & who wants to be a slave? Slavery was abolished in the country some years ago unless you have't heard. I've been married 5 times and now save cats & wouldn't have it any other way. Not interested in ANY man all they want is for someone to be their bidder go back to your mother who spoiled you for the rest of the world.

Aug 28th 2010 10:17AM YES humans how would YOU LIKE to have your fingers cut off at the first bend? That is what you are doing when you declaw a cat. People who want to declaw should NOT have cats they are too lazy to train the cat. My sister declawed her 2 cats I nearly had a coranary. But she is too lazy to train the cats pure & simple. Furniture can be replaced besided you get tired of it sooner or later anyway so. I have 15 inside only cats NOT a one is declawed.

Aug 28th 2010 9:57AM Couldn't agree with you more. I now find a pet sitter who comes to my home & feeds my cats, changes litter, etc. Much easier all around. I have 18 cats so can you imagine what it would cost me to board them all. NO I am not a horder. When you do cat rescue you don't always get all the ones you take in adopted, at least that's what happened last year (and the first year since I've been doing rescue I might add) Of course the ones I didn't get adopted are black and black & white. How STUPID at least the Strawman from the Wizzard of Oz knew he needed a brain. These cats are wonderful and just as loving as the other colors I might add to anyone without a brain reading this who may be interested in getting a cat.

Aug 28th 2010 9:48AM I docat rescue and have been for 10 years now. I have mother cats about to give birth in my home when the people where I got them from don't want the mother soon to be to have an abortion. If the kittens are born inside they will not be feral or hard to handle till you socialize them which is what happens if you let Mommy have them outside in your yard or under your deck, shed etc. I have not had any bad things happen to any of the fosters nor my 10 cats in all these years so I believe all this get shots thing is just a way to make us cat onwers feel guilty & go running to the vets office so they can charge us up the cazoo for an office visit plus plus plus. Nice try but I'm not buying it. My friend got her cats shots every year (rabies) and sure enough one came down with cancer at the injection site. Seven thousand dollars later the cat is dead, my friend is $7,000 in the hole and NOW she does't get rabies updates every year like recommended or by law.
