I Left My Boyfriend Because He Didn't Want a Baby {Lemondrop}

Jul 3rd 2010 11:34PM She refers to the baby as "its" inthe following passage: "My dreams about our future together, holding our newborn baby, watching it take its first steps, utter its first words..." I think THAT SAYS IT ALL. She starts the article by saying "I look like a proud mom on a much deserved shopping trip". Umm I would I say that she just looked like a woman holding a baby in a store. She seems to be caught up with appearances and neglects the true aspect of being a mom. Motherhood is beautiful, but it's not always glamorous. This woman doesn't seem to consider that.

Some people have become trained to think of children as possessions rather than HUMAN BEINGS. Becoming absorbed with how they will look and how the child with benefit them. Never once does she mention what kind of QUALITIES this man had that CONVINCED her soooo much that he was FATHER MATERIAL. She never says that he was marriage material either.

I Left My Boyfriend Because He Didn't Want a Baby {Lemondrop}

Jul 3rd 2010 10:51PM How could she expect a commitment and they weren't even MARRIED? If I were him, I would think she only wanted his sperm as well. Given the fact that she was fine with raising the child while he was busy with his job...I THOUGHT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A JOINT EFFORT? Most mothers would welcome the help of the father if she's living with him. I see why he started to withdraw from her. She didn't want his as a HUSBAND OR A LIFE PARTNER. She just wanted him to give her child and be there as a someone the child could call "dad". Now what is she going to do, I suppose it's going to take another 2-5 years to "fall in love" with a guy she wants to get pregnant for...so why couldn't she devote to those years with the man she already "loved"?

Dean McDermott in Hospital with Collapsed Lung {PopEater}

Jul 2nd 2010 1:32AM Have some fun...GET A PUNCTURED AND COLLAPSED LUNG! I can see that as an ad right now. That sure does sound like FUN...you're so right. You've got to me kidding me. She's a concerned wife, it's not about losing or keeping him. Obviously he didn't think it was such a smart idea either.

Is 'The Last Airbender' Racist ... or Just Drawn That Way? {Moviefone Blog}

Jul 2nd 2010 1:22AM These people are so off base with their accusations. I'm just wondering if they felt the same about Disney not depicting a character of African descent in one their films until 2010. How did they feel about that?

Wal-Mart Text-Message Hoax Warns of Gang Initiation {Switched}

Mar 23rd 2009 11:11PM Yeah a co-worker sent it to me here in Charleston, SC about 2 weeks ago. Her's said that the gang members had to find 3 women at a Wal-Mart. I told her it was a hoax, but she didn't want to listen. I told her that at least one person would have been found dead at a wal-mart by now had it been true. Some people are just so gullible.

NOTABLE/QUOTABLE: Jamie Foxx {BV Newswire}

Jan 29th 2007 8:22PM I'm having a hard time believing Foxx on this one. Joke or no joke, the fact remains that his daughter is half WHITE! His so called pun on "white chocolate" and staying with the "sisters" is ridiculous. He was never with the "sisters" to begin with.

Diamond Eyelashes {Luxist}

Oct 5th 2006 9:22AM Yes it is their money and they're are free to do what they want with it. Yet, one has to wonder how vain someone is in order to purchase that set for $10,000 when the fake one cost $25 and no one can tell the difference. Also keep in mind that feather lashes can't be reused that often. Sounds like a waste...

More sponsors dump "Survivor" {AdJab}

Sep 11th 2006 10:07PM Come on...it's a reality show on public TV. If you don't like what they're doing don't watch the show. Their ratings will fall and both the network and show will lose money, which they already have in part due to sponsor pull out. Low ratings will teach them and other networks a lesson on how they should handle things in the future. As far as the race issue, why is there such an uproar over the race divide? No one complains when people are divided by gender or age on Survivor or any other show. Clearly the contestants are cool with it because they're still on the island. Honestly, I as an African American woman have more important issues in our society to worry about.
