Young Fan Wins Lawsuit for Ryan Howard's 200th Career Home Run Ball {Fanhouse Backporch}

Oct 8th 2009 7:36PM Tell you what, if I'm ever lucky enough to get my hands on a homerun ball at an MLB game and some big goons approach me and demand the ball back, I'm telling them to go straight to hell and the hitter can kiss my ass!

High School Football Star Wrongly Held In Murder Case {Fanhouse Main}

Oct 4th 2009 11:14AM He wasn't treated like a criminal, he was treated like a suspect. Of course they couldn't take the coaches word for it - they have established too close of a relationship so they would have motive to lie on his behalf. Weak argument, yes, but the case can be made. They confirmed his alibi by other sources until they were satisfied. They were doing their job. You all expect perfection, it is unnattainable. In Texas, a man was recently executed who may very well have been not guilty due to the way the laws governing criminal evidence in arson cases are used. The governor has legally quashed the investigation into the matter. Police are concerned with doing their job, the government is concerned with saving face.

Kirk Cameron Defends Attack on 'Species' {PopEater}

Sep 26th 2009 3:38PM It is a historical fact that Darwin's observations were used by the Nazi's in furtherance of their evil schemes. The Nazi regime was largely built on propaganda - they took advantage of science, twisted it on it's head, and used it to fuel hatred that was already present. They used others besides Darwin. James Carroll in his book "Constantine's Sword" has a lot to say on the subject. Just because science has been or can be used for evil does not make the science evil. If we are to erase science, what keeps us from rewriting history like the revisionists would like. Cameron is using history to fuel a social agenda. Maybe he should change his name while he is at it. Akhmageenadad, Iranian head of state, (or however it's spelled) comes to mind.

Kirk Cameron Defends Attack on 'Species' {PopEater}

Sep 26th 2009 3:23PM Kurt Cameron is on point about Darwin, but only to a certain extent. Darwin's ideas were used by Hitler, and it is likely that Darwin knew or had a good idea that his observations would be used to "speed up" the process so to speak. However, just because good science can be used for evil purposes does not detract from the fact that it is good science. The science cannot and should not be ignored.

Flavio Briatore's Race-Fixing Scandal {Luxist}

Sep 20th 2009 11:56AM Typo - it should read "corruption". I became flustered with the new log-in business.

Sep 20th 2009 11:50AM Money motivates corruption? Really - I had no idea!

Man Caught Impersonating Governor Thanks to Poor Grammar {Asylum}

Sep 20th 2009 11:38AM Environment is responsible for over 80% of achievement. It is less than 10% responsible for progress. Some teachers need to retire. Teachers are not responsible for what children bring into the classroom from home.

Man Caught Impersonating Governor Thanks to Poor Grammar {Asylum}

Sep 20th 2009 11:13AM I am very thankful that so many criminals are so stupid. It makes them easy to catch up to. The anti-intellectual attitude of some children is very telling of later potential.
