Feb 12th 2010 2:54AM that's true mike about ND being the TRUE geographical location of a new big 10 school, but ND will NEVER leave the independent status because of the NBC deal and the money they dont have to share with anyone else. When they played OSU in the fiesta bowl they received ALL of that money, OSU had to share it with the big ten.
Missouri makes sense and pitt and cinci make sense (although you'll see OSU and penn st try to stall that since neither would want to worry about in state recruits leaving to go to a rival in state school). Rutgers would bring NOTHING to the big 10. idc if a new market opens up on the east coast. What huge name recruits come from that area? the recruiting areas are the south and midwest and out west in california. Syracuse would make sense if the big 10 was worried about basketball, which at the moment, they aren't and the cuse in football hasn't been relevant since McNabb played there. Missouri would help football wise as would pitt and cinci (although we'll have to see if Cincinnati can keep the ball rolling without pike or Coach Kelly.
Texas would be an awful choice. Yeah you gain a HUGE football school, but location wise it'll be tough and the rest of the big 10 wouldnt want to deal with texas every year. And I highly doubt UT would ever leave the big 12 when they pretty much own it already.
the big 10 is just reaching out to different schools to see what a school in that area of the country would be looking for if they wanted to leave a conference, nothing more, nothing less.
But mark my words, either pitt or missouri are the new big 10 teams. It just a matter of when the big 10 is willingly to pull the trigger

Morranis retired from acting a long while ago so it'll be tough to get him to sign on, but it sounds like they just might.
But the principal cast will be there and word on the street is that the ghostbusters will reopen their business years after they closed shop after a new paranormal threat appears in new york

Feb 8th 2010 4:47PM She's got a point. EVERYONE knows the reason the 3rd film is just now getting made is because Murray HATES sequels and only wanted to make it if he had a say so in the plot. Murray adds a really strong element to the film with his character but again, he has both helped and hurt the franchise.
Now i give Bill a LOT of credit because from what I've heard and read all over the net is that he would only do the movie if Ernie Hudson was given a bigger role, which the movies have always kind of left him the shadow and never fully utilized him.
The movie can be great if handled correctly and if it focuses more on the well written characters instead of the CGI (which GB2 did and we ALL know that it wasn't as good as the first) it's gonna be an excellent film. And we all can pretty much guarantee that they're gonna introduce a new group of ghostbusters after this movie to reboot it. Which may be the downfall of the franchise if done poorly.
But im super excited to see this as a life long ghostbusters fan.
