Win a Mint Plus Automatic Floor Cleaner! {Shopping Articles Blog}

Dec 13th 2011 11:59PM I would work (alone) on getting my little house ready to finally sell, so I could move closer to my Son and spend more time with my family. Since my parents died, I don't have any reason to be where I am today......it may be my hometown, but it's not where my heart (or home) is. And my Son has no other family but me.

Mystery Deepens in Ghost Town Bought for $800,000 {AOL Real Estate}

Oct 10th 2011 1:26PM You state that the Government is selling out from under us......Actually this town and the land around it was NOT sold by or for the Government. It was owned by a private owner, who had bought up land piece by piece, as the article stated. Did you even READ the article???? Geeeeez.

Convertible Maxi Dress You Have to Pick Up {Shopping Articles Blog}

Jun 16th 2011 4:14PM Maxi dress, with a mini clientele. Only about 5% of the women in the US can even wear this style. Great if you are a size 6 and 5 foot 10 or taller.....which I am sure the model in the photos most definitely IS.
For the rest of us, it is a foot or more too long, and looks like a nightgown.

Our Top 20 Burger Recipes {Kitchen Daily}

May 17th 2011 4:55PM Anyone else put of by the "meatball" shaped burger photos in these recipes??? How does one eat a beachball shaped burger that towers 6 or more inches?? Last time I made homemade patties they were flat, to eating and to stay on the bun without using a skewer to keep them from rolling off the plate and onto the floor.

Just like everything else in media, what you see in these photos isn't REAL LIFE. Next time, show some actual burgers that are not made by the food artist, toppling off of the bun. No one makes or eats these burger-balls in real life, so why show them that way???

Pathetic.

Fixing Split Ends: Repairing Split Ends Without Cutting Them {Stylelist (Main)}

Feb 19th 2011 7:09PM I see that the author----or style list----changed the title of the article. That could have been prevented had it been written correctly the first time.

Perilous Headlines may grab readers initially, but after being mislead so many times by follwing them to crapp & misinformed articles, they will refuse to fall for the "sky is falling" mode of writing again....

Do your writers or bloggers actually have any degrees or schooling in English, Grammar & Literature? Or do you just promote from within....you know, from the mailroom or housekeeping???

BTW: you STILL cannot "fix" split ends, any more than you can fix a split or broken nail. You can only "cover it up" or make it LOOK normal with beauty products until you wash and then they are visible AGAIN. Hair is dead once it leaves the scalp. You cannot "feed it" or make it better by introducing medicinal name brand goop, by doctoring it with grooming products, by taking pills or by styling gadgets. That hair from the scalp to the tips is as dead as a leaf that has fallen from a tree. It will continue to deteriorate until it is cut off. And at that point you can only TRIM, TRIM, TRIM.

Bold Hair Hues Lead to Suspension for 6th-Grader {ParentDish}

Feb 17th 2011 9:07PM I have medium blonde hair, always have, but in the summer I would get red streaks and highlights naturally from the sun as well as from the chlorine in the public swimming pool. My parents both had brown hair, and Mom's hair would get streaky red in summer from sun and chlorine as well.......in the front I would always have a lightest of light blonde (almost translucent white) piece of hair because of my genes and exposure from the summer.....had my school district held me to the same rules as the girl in the article, I wouold have never been allowed to go to school. The highlights and streaking would last for months, well into January/February at least.....
What a shame that this child is being punished, when others are allowed to wear almost-stripper/streetwalker clothes because 'they are all the rage and everyone wears them.'

Shame on this district for punishing a girl for having a sense of style and individuality. It's not like she has green spikes or purple clumps of hair!!! What's next-----suspension for having green eyes or wearing coloured contacts???

Remember Them? 15 Most Memorable Companies That Vanished {WalletPop}

Jan 11th 2011 1:42AM I remember my parents taking us to Woolworths' to shop and it was ALWAYS a treat to eat at the lunch counter. Anyone else remember this? The food was outstanding and it was cool because we could have sat in a booth, but Dad thought it was fun to sit at the counter and us kids would spin around on the barstools. Also remember Walgreens having lunch counters. Woolworths' meatloaf, believe it or not, was better than Moms. But Dad would never say that in front of MOM!! Those were the best memories.

Oscar Boycott Story 'Not True,' Says Tom Cruise's Spokesperson {PopEater}

Jan 10th 2011 6:40PM The only person Cruise approves of and loves is himself. Oh and his Stepford wife.

Damien Hirst Draws Fire for $50 Million Diamond and Platinum Baby Skull {Luxist}

Jan 10th 2011 5:54PM Exploit death? Uh, isn't that what funeral homes and parlors do? They sell a mourning family crap they don't want and need. When our Mom died, we wanted a simple casket, our own flowers and no elaborate wake and processions. They kept on trying to add DVD's, special music, a photographer, a luncheon, etc....by the end we were more worn out by having to defend our choices than her passing itself.
Everyone is out to exploit everyone. Everyone has a gimmick or ulterior motive. If they didn't the dollar would have no value and we'd all still be living in caves.
This artist isn't asking you to look at it or buy it and everyone's opinion of "what art is" remains widely prolific. What you think is nice and beautiful to look at and admire may be crap to the next person in line. Luckily we live in the US where freedom of speech (as much as we think we have) is yours and mine.
We are however losing our rights to free speech when certain words in Mark Twains great works are being censored and removed. How pathetic are those who must sterilize the entire world simply because they are 'offended.' GIMMEE a break!

Kate Middleton Wears Black to a Wedding! And Is She Too Thin? {Stylelist (Main)}

Jan 10th 2011 5:44PM Hmm. If I had to choose anyone to spotlight as a non-classy and horrid sense of fashion sense and style it would be Gorilla, Camilla Porker-Bowels. That woman looks perfectly at home in polyester and has the feminity of a horse. Kate will again set her own trends, just as Diana did. Nothing is more wonderful than a confident, young woman who can push the "Royal Ettiquette" and come out on top every time.
