Why My E-Reader Will Never Replace My Bookshelf {Shelterpop}

Jan 4th 2011 9:55PM Amen to that! Thankfully I am 73 and won't live till the time when I can't get my books. Reading is my love. I thank God for the Public Library since I'm living on Social Security it is a very wonderful place.

Ginnifer Goodwin Admits to Being on Weight Watchers Since Age 9 {Lemondrop}

Dec 23rd 2010 9:48PM I was a skinny kid then I hit puberty and that's when dieting started. I've been a WW member (lifetime at one point) for about the past 40 years (I'm 73 years old) and I'm still fighting the battle of the bulge and it certainly is getting harder and harder to lose the weight. But, even when I was 122 lbs I thought I was fat. Now I'm really fat and need to get my weight down for health reasons.

SmackDown: Should Parents Give Gifts to Adult Children? {ParentDish}

Dec 5th 2010 9:27PM I'm 73 years old and I'm living on Social Security. I think gifting has a lot to do with your ability to spend the money. I would love to send gifts for birthdays and Christmas, but I settle for the best card I can find. I do send a gift to my youngest grandchild.

Nov 23rd 2010 9:36PM How do you start a blog and how do you find other weight loss blogs and communicate with them. I am 73 years old and I have to lose 40 lbs. I've been at it since this past July and have only lost 7 lbs. The doctor says at my age it's difficult due to metabolism. I go to the gym three times a week and spend 20 minutes on a reclining bike and 20 to 30 minutes on the treadmill. I do my physical therapy exercises three times a week. (I've have two hip replacements and they're threatening me with back surgery for spinal stenosis). Can someone help me please?

The Jacksons, Week 5: Hello, Vanilla Yogurt and Old Anxieties {ParentDish}

Nov 13th 2010 9:54PM I'm 73 years old. I've been following the Weight Watcher point system. I've journaled every bit and have stayed at or under my 23 points. I have gone to the gym 3x a week on the bike for 20 minutes and on the treadmill for 30 minutes. On days when it's cool enought (I live in Florida) I walk outside for 30 minutes.

I've been losing ONE pound a month !!! I talked to the doctor (she checked my thyroid function) and she told me it's my age and my metabolism. Another doc said - well in a year you will have lost 12lbs. I will continue because since I started in July my arthritis has slightly improved. It's not easy !!!

Look of the Day - Sophia Loren {Stylelist (Main)}

Oct 14th 2010 2:45PM She looks absolutley wonderful but I have to wonder how much help she's had. I'm 73 and to look like her I would need quite a bit of work - like lifts where gravity has taken its toll. I do give her all the credit for how great she looks.

Oct 13th 2010 12:14PM I adore peanut butter - it's actually my "red light" food when I'm on a diet. It can stick to the roof of MY mouth any day. (-:

Tina Knowles on Miss Tina Line at Walmart and the Importance of Plus-Size Clothing {Stylelist (Main)}

Oct 11th 2010 11:59AM As an overweight senior I have one big problem - they're making all cotton knits stretchy and they cling to every lump on my body. A few years ago a could buy cotton knits that hang straight and not cling. I'm not buying anything until this goes away - I'm sure no one would want to see me without clothes.

Justin Timberlake Lists TriBeCa Apartment, Buys At Soho Mews {Luxist}

Oct 8th 2010 9:25PM If I had all the money in the world I wouldn't want to live in any of these million dollar homes. They look so very cold and uninviting. Boy, give me some little Old English with knick-knacks, plants, open magazines, pretty curtains on the windows, maybe a sweater thrown over a chair.
