Apr 25th 2010 1:33PM jabbergman...Yes we have christian fundamentalists here too, but they aren't suicide bombing innocent women and children in the marketplace and when an idiot does kill an abortion doctor or bomb an abortion clinic the more mnoderate among us speak up loud and clear against such actions. This is not true of the moderate muslims. The islamic fundamentalists wreak havoc and the moderate muslim says nothing. They bomb, torture, behead and destroy while the moderate muslims say nothing. This is what causes people to hate ALL muslims because if the moderates don't speak up does this mean that they condone these horrific actions. That's how it seems. If you are a moderate muslim and hate what these terrorists are doing, then SPEAK OUT AGAINST THEM!!!

Mar 25th 2010 11:30AM I find it extremely interesting that since spanking has gone out of vogue there has been a dramatic rise in very violent crimes by extremely young children. When I was a kid and when I was raising my kids it was a rarity to hear of a 10 or 12 year old commiting murder. You also didn't hear of drive by shootings, kids shooting up their schools. Parents started at a very young age, with a few well placed swats to the butt to instill discipline and let kids know what was acceptible behavior. This doesn't mean beating, there's a huge diffrerence between a swat and a beating. So to the guy who said he's Not Dr. Phil those guys in prison were beaten not swatted, see what I mean!!! Also every other kid in school was not ADD or ADHD. You acted bratty, you were sent to the office and your bratty behavior was dealt with. Now a kid acts up and instead of parents backing the school they get a lawyer!! No wonder things have gone to hell in a basket!!!!

Therefore his parents have every right in the world to be extremely proud of the strong, brave young man!!! I doubt you would have the guts to do what he's doing if you were in his shoes. As has been said before, the constitution prevents the government from throwing you in jail because you speak out about the government. It does not guarantee that you opening you big mouth and shoving your foot into it comes with no consequences. Try telling your boss that he's an idiot and you'll see that free speech comes at a price if not used responsibly.

Feb 28th 2010 11:22AM I get really tired of hearing people say that both adults are working so we have to eat crappy junk food or pre-made meals. I worked a full time job, had a husband and 3 kids and went to school part time and still managed to feed my kids breakfast, pack a lunch and cook a nutritious dinner. It may not have been gourmet, but the food was good and healthy. It isn't rocket science folks. A healthy meal doesn't take much longer than waiting in the drive-thru at McDonald's.
