Judge Judy Rushed to Hospital One Day After Surgery [Updated] {PopEater}

Mar 30th 2011 6:34PM Judge Judy's show is the only platform existing on TV today where the public can witness justice dispensed with sense, wisdom and occasional humor. Frankly, I personally believe she would make an excellent Justice of the United States Supreme Court. I hope she is well and returns to her post behind the TV bench. We all could learn a lot more from her rulings.

Charlie Sheen Shows Off His New Girlfriend on Set {PopEater}

Feb 22nd 2011 1:40PM Charlie had better look at HIMSELF instead of his new fling. Looking at himself in retrospect will give him a clue of who he really is hurting by his actions - his parents, his family, his friends, his colleagues and some of the younger members of his audience. He's an absolute disaster and ought to be replaced in "Men."

Aretha Franklin Has Cancer, Family Confirms {PopEater}

Dec 8th 2010 6:58PM Dear Rose,

You seem to be doing everything right by seeing your doctors, taking your treatments and avoiding crowds. As a two-time cancer survivor, I humbly offer you the following additional advice. Carry on your normal life as best you can. Don't waste a minute of your remaining time on this earth; enjoy the time you are here; and avoid feeling sorry for yourself. By doing so, you will help yourself and others. The Man Upstairs is the only one who can make that final decision to take you to Him. I wish you a speedy recovery.

What Are Jay Leno's Former Viewers Watching Instead of Leno? {Inside TV Blog}

Jan 3rd 2010 7:06PM There's no question in my mind that TV execs are out of touch with what the public wants. In these times of economic and political chaos, I don't think the public is interesting in seeing someone eat bugs on a reality show; I think the public is tired of having a show open up with a dead chorus girl on the floor of a palatial home. After a day's work or looking for work, it might be nice to relax and identify with our daily problems. It would be different to see simple justice meted out (perhaps with an evening slot for Judge Judy)with common sense. We might be able to learn something with shows akin to those shown on PBS. Gee, get with it, execs! The loss of listeners isn't caused by moving a show from 11:35 to 10:00; we are being weaned away by poor writers and boring plots.

GM and GE are dragging corporate America through the mud {Daily Finance}

Mar 5th 2009 7:15PM Three cheers for the Association of BelTelephone Retirees who, after many years, won a proxy fight with Verizon management and now employees have a say in executive bonuses and salaries.

The Madoff scandal gets weirder and weirder {BloggingStocks}

Dec 24th 2008 10:18AM Where were all the Board Members of the organizations that were scammed by Madoff? Certainly, these people, some of whom are lawyers and accountants, should have performed due diligence before placing large sums of money with one "mysterious" investment firm. Can you even imagine any pension or endowment monies being placed with hedge funds, a highly risky venture? As a retired investment manager, I can't! The responsible Board Members should be fired for their negligence.

Prime Pick: Gwen Ifill Named As Contender For NBC's 'Meet The Press' {Blackvoices Main}

Dec 1st 2008 7:26PM A person like Tim Russert comes along just once in a great while. When one reflects on why he drew you to the TV screen on Sunday morning, two words come to mind: neutrality and insight. While Ms. Ifill has been adequate on her PBS show, she unfortunately has time and again exhibited her lack of neutrality and lack of depth in her questioning. My suggestion to NBC is to KEEP ON LOOKING FOR THAT SOMEONE SPECIAL.

Hot Seat: Hillary Clinton for Secretary of State? {Politics Daily}

Nov 17th 2008 6:18PM I believe there is a more experienced and qualified person sitting on the sidelines, the former Secretary of State Colin Powell.

The world knows he was duped by the Bush Administration, thus prompting his resignation from the Bush Cabinet. Powell's selection as the "new" Secretary of State, working with Obama and the Democrats, would be accepted by the citizens of the world; and it would be just retribution for those who tried to make him the scapegoat for the devious deeds that caused the Iraq war.

Microsoft announces Windows 7 as Vista brand is killed {BloggingStocks}

Oct 30th 2008 6:40PM I own an expensive computer that was bought with Vista Business. To say that I'm frustrated is a major understatement. I hope Windows 7 is issued shortly. I'm 75+ and don't have much time left.

Three reasons why you shouldn't panic and sell your stocks {BloggingStocks}

Sep 29th 2008 6:44PM It appears that members of the House of Representatives on both sides of the aisle were pandering to their constituents instead of keeping their eyes on the ball. The ball was the economy of this country! Failure of this Bill will mean further problems for this constituents - loss of savings for tuition and other important items, inability to make loans, corporate bankruptcies and loss of jobs. If the House members didn't want to lose their elections five weeks hence, voting "No" on this bill will backfire on them. It's hard to believe that so many elected officials are so short-sighted.
