Jun 4th 2008 7:52PM There's no mention of it in this article, but I thought the 7 was going to use aluminum for the spaceframe, body panels and suspension. Wasn't Audi's goal to beat MB and BMW by 700-800 pounds and go head to head with the new XJ in weight?

May 29th 2008 8:46AM I would love to see Toyota take this one step further and offer a two-stage diesel hybrid in the Sequoia. Use the electric motors for highway cruising. They could probably get somewhere in the mid to upper 30's in MPG for the highway.

May 28th 2008 10:01PM Didn't Audi just last week confirm that the A3 cab was on it's way? Then it would make sense that the A4/S4 cab is gone and the A3 and A5 cabs fill the void from both sides. Now they just need an A7 cab to compete against the SL and all bases are covered.

May 23rd 2008 11:26AM I guess we now know how Ford intends to build those profit margins.......$760 for what appears to be a 1 cubic foot fridge? Geez, I can go to Lowe's and get a 23 cubic foot stainless steel Whirlpool for that. Of course I'd have to put all of the rear seats down to fit it into the Flex, but hey, what a tailgate that would be!
Ford to make fewer Volvos, possibly in prep for sale {Autoblog}
May 20th 2008 1:38PM AB Volvo has already said no to an outright purchase, a partial purchase or other partnership.
Supposedly, buried deep in the bowels of the original purchase agreement between Ford and Volvo is a first right of purchase by current management. I expect that to be the end game for this. Current management, the Swedish government (through tax incentives and breaks) and a Swedish investor will eventually own Volvo.
Someone also asked about the logo. If the above comes to pass, AB Volvo has no problem with continued use of the logo. If another buyer wins out, then other arrangements will probably be made.
