Ticketmaster Settlement: Class-Action Lawsuit Over 'Deceptive Fees' {WalletPop}

Jan 30th 2011 4:59PM Actually $10,300,000 divided by 950 million tickets is $0.0108 or basically 1.1 cents, you had the decimal one place off.... even a more dismal result. If 1/2 the potential claimants opt out of the settlement or ignore the process, well a big 2.2 cent refund per ticket will be coming your way.

Who Is Most Likely to Use a Coupon? {WalletPop}

Nov 15th 2010 4:17PM Problem I'm encountering now is that most companies offer internet coupons which you print at home and none of the supermarkets in my neighborhood will accept them anymore if they are printed at home, they only accept the ones cut from the newspaper inserts or that the companies mail to you for some offers.

Toni Braxton Files For Bankruptcy, Foreclosed House Sold {Luxist}

Oct 7th 2010 10:04PM Everyone should be allowed to file for bancruptcy once, we all make mistakes anf financial disasters happen. No one should be able to file a 2nd time, if you don't learn from the 1st time and curb your expenses you should be held responsible for the money you spent and if you can't cover it you go to jail! Either you she did not learn from her first time through bancruptcy OR this is all part of a well planned scam to be able to keep living with all the bling she things she deserves, either way she must be held responsible.

Cones: Not Just for Ice Cream Anymore {Slashfood}

Aug 23rd 2010 11:50PM New Haven can boast both Pepe's and their down the street relatives Sally's Pizza as two of the most amazing pizza places in the U.S. I grew up in CT and now live in NYC and whenever I travelled back home I always stopped and picked up a couple pies to take home. As famous and renowned as NYC pizza is, it just doesn't compare! No reservations, no call ahead orders, lines down the block but it is always worth it.

The new Coke mini: Pay more, get less {WalletPop}

Feb 2nd 2010 1:07AM You name it - ice cream snack chips, soaps, etc. - the majority of the products in the stores have been reduced in package size with no corresponding reduction in price. Coke recently tried this scam but obviously did not learn from their mistake. A year or two ago, at least here in NYC, they attempted to phase out the 2 liter bottle with a new bottle that was marketed as their "NEW, easy to grip bottle" that had slimmer sections to make gripping it easier. These bottles held 1.5 liters rather than 2 liters but were selling at the same price. The public didn't buy it. Maybe they switched to Pepsi, RC Cola, Diet-Rite Cola, etc. but pretty quickly the 2 liter Coke bottles were back on the shelves.

Cans are fine for portability but what are you doing drinking cans at home? Buy a 2 liter bottle and pour as much or as little as you have thirst for.... 6 oz, 8 oz, 10 oz, 12 oz or even 14 oz and then screw the top on tight and it will hold the carbonation for a number of days. It's a lot more economical.

I can just picture the scene at the Coke corporate conference room as they planned out this product release, laughing with glee as they figured they'd fool the public with this scam and make a fortune. They must really think very little of their customers' intelligence. DON'T FALL FOR THIS TRICKERY. Let these 8 oz cans spoil on the shelves.
