Hygiene and your hospital {ParentDish}
Aug 29th 2006 10:29PM My mother was transported to the hospital on Monday August 28,2006 by rescue services. I was in her evaluation meeting with the doctor and before he examined her he excused himself to wash his hand just outside the room at a washing station. I was very impressed with his manner and procedure before examining my mother. Then on the other hand I have seen some come in the room on other hospital admissions and saw only gloves put on and no hands washed. My opinion which I feel is unclean to put the gloves on you have to touch the gloves on the outside to get them on your hands so that's a potential infectious risk to the patient and each patient there after that these medical staff come in contact with. No wonder we get steph infections after going home.Thanks for the doctor that took care of my mother. Thanks for reading Brenda
