Belgian Beer Weekend {Gadling}

Aug 27th 2006 1:06AM In the Belgian Officers Mess, Ludensheid, Germany, in 1963 I was introduced to a drink that they called Triple Trappist! It was relatively dark, quite strong, and had to be 'decanted' carefully because of sediment in the bottom of each bottle. Tell me I wasn't dreaming, and that such a beverage does exist! Is it available anyplace in the USA? Thanks!
