Feb 25th 2008 11:22AM i can't afford starbucks. but after having some tim horton's on a trip through canada, i'm through with them b/c outside of the coffee i make myself AT HOME (which is cheaper by the way) and first to diner sludge, it was THE BEST cup of coffee i've EVER had! and i think it's silly for the fast food places to try to make money off the whole coffee thing. ppl drink this stuff b/c they think it makes them look cool.
so they don't have a corporate policy to support the troops or any other thing you ppl think they need to do. target doesn't like the salvation army or shriners do their lil bell ringing thing in front of their stores. why don't you go boycott them? remember, they're also from france. and we all know how france is. seriously, ppl. get over yourselves. starbucks is in the MONEY MAKING BUSINESS. and giving donations to ANYONE does NOT make them money. why don't you do some research on which companies are "supporting the troops" and which ones are not. you'd be surprised that MOST are NOT "supporting" them. but that's the way the cookie crumbles. besides, what are YOU doing to make the troops job easier? are you recycling so they have enough plastics and metal to make the things to protect themselves and fight/hurt the bad guys? are you conserving your gas? heating and cooling your home to save money on natural gas? what about conserving your water usage so we can send more bottled water to them? yeah, that's what i thought.

Nov 22nd 2007 4:57AM if you're too stupid to look at what they put into the food and SEE that's it's bad for you, you deserve what you get! food cooked at home, is the BEST for you b/c YOU KNOW what goes into it and how much. resturants of ANY type are in it to feed the masses so they've got to use more to spread the food itself around, not to mention the taste. so it makes sense that it would be bad for you. thus, it would make sense that you should avoid going to there on a regular basis. duh! but since that makes sense, ppl just won't get it. :p

Nov 22nd 2007 4:41AM this is one thing i hate about americans: we love NON human beings (plants/animals) more then we love human beings. it's disgusting. esp since NO ONE can prove he did it. i bet he just caved b/c he knew he wouldn't get a fair day in court b/c 1) this country loves NON human beings more so then human beings and 2) he's a black man in a high position. i guess since he wasn't dancing around juggabuggin for your ppl, he has to be brought down. wtf ever!

Nov 6th 2007 12:31AM considering they went in there to get one of her explosive outbursts that she's become famous for in recent mons, i think she handled it all pretty well. she's met with bill before on the view and i'm sure if he wants her on his show, he knows how to do it, just like abc knows how to get him on the view. that being said, she'll NEVER appear on his show b/c he won't invite her. too many coservatives from all branches of conservatism hate her. i'm not talking dislike. i'm talking HATE. of course, most of these ppl are purported christians who should know better then to hate someone. but whatever. rosie is a doll, tho. :)

Oct 7th 2007 12:33AM PETA is so hypocritical. they scream at ppl to save the animals and be vegan or vegetarian, yet, they do what other groups that try to save animals do: if no one will have them, they will kill them. some savior of pets! if you're gonna go vegan or vegetarian, do it b/c it's something YOU feel strongly about and know that it will help YOU stay healthy. not b/c PETA said so! i for one, am an omnivor, and ALWAYS will be. but i do it with a nice balance of vegies so i stay healthy. that all said, what about the ppl who think vegetables and plants have rights?! we're on a slippery slope my friends, and not the good kind!

Oct 6th 2007 7:40PM i'm surprised at this. ANYONE with HALF a brain knows that ALL makeup ads are enhanced, esp the mascara ones.
i'm one of the few ppl on the planet that looks younger then i am WITHOUT makeup. that's fine, unless i want to be treated like my age, then the makeup comes out. some ppl have good genes and can look fine without makeup. some of us don't. just b/c you can pull it off, doesn't mean that you couldn't use some blush or lipstick every once in a while. there is NOTHING wrong with makeup. there IS however something wrong with saying that you lived on a beach for 20yrs and you still look half your age. makeup didn't do that, SUNBLOCK did! don't lie and say your skin is so "perfect" b/c you didn't wear makeup. it's b/c you have good genes, a good diet and you take care of your skin by cleaning it and using a sunscreen on it daily. but that's what EVERYONE should do. but a lil makeup NEVER hurt anyone. i bet it was a lifesaver back before we were told to use moisturizers with sunscreen in them b/c it blocked the UV/UVB/UVA rays from getting to our skin. LONG LIVE MAKEUP! my fave is MAC. awesome coverage plus they have a good skin care line as well. :)

Sep 22nd 2007 12:55PM if you forget the past, you are doomed to failure b/c you'll keep making the same mistakes over and over again. wilbon is right, if it wasn't for those that came before, we wouldn't have what we have or be where we are right now. vince is trying to take the easy way out with his statement. alot of players say some variation of what he said when they have nothing to say on the subject, but don't want to be thought of as stupid or whatever. or they don't want to say anything at all for fear of being labled as something they may truly not be. but we all know labels STICK FOREVER. so it's best to keep one's mouth shut. it's why "no comment" is the best phrase EVER. heh.....
and Gern, ppl are still racist dispite all that you just said, but they use money and press confereneces and encourage sales to cover up their racism. they say they're not racist b/c they support a certain player, but their daily actions and conversation prove other wise. it's the main reason why actions speak louder then words in MOST cases.

Sep 22nd 2007 12:03PM wooooooooow. you ppl are rich! this is to the hotel manager who discriminates against those with tattoos: i hope you don't treat your paying customers that come in with tattoos or piercings that way. not EVERYONE regards them as trashy. not EVERYONE will have sagging tattoos later in life. stop generalizing! and i hope to God that i NEVER have to frequent your hotel. i wouldn't want my tattoo to get in the way of door of your brain being shut. and you need to be careful about your hiring practices. discriminating on the basis that someone has a tattoo WILL get you sued! how upscale will your place be then?
and the reason this is news: tattoos should ONLY be done in safe, sterile environment by a licensed tattoo artist. the fact that a kid from some other band just decided to do it like he decided to get it has me hoping and praying he doesn't get an infection or Hep A or C behind it.

Sep 22nd 2007 11:44AM to tell you the truth, playboy has dealt out that amount of money and more to worst women. the problem with brit is that she's been overexposed and ppl are pretty tired of her. why buy the cow when you can have the milk for free? she does need to take a break from trying to stay famous and just focus on herself and her kids. it'll be hard to do, as there is no money in it, but she'll be better off in the end, b/c then she can come back better then ever! demi moore did it, so did uma thruman and look at them now! take a cue from those that have been there, brit!
as for taking her kids away, my mom was a social worker for about 10yrs, and i can tell you for a fact, that this country is very much hung up on the fact that you should care for your own. that includes kids staying with bad parents. and she isn't all that bad compared to most i've seen. and you ppl KNOW i'm right! could she use some parenting classes? sure! but so could all of us. times have changed, the same thing that worked when you were a kid for your parents' isn't going to cut it today. so cut the girl some slack, alright! think of it this way: how would you feel if your ENTIRE life had been played out on the world stage? yeah, you wouldn't look so hot, either. ppl in glasses houses shouldn't throw stones!

Sep 7th 2007 10:10PM and not all men are "weak," bree. but that's what you tend to attract b/c YOU are weak. i bet your husband is "weak" b/c he's so damned tired of trying to keep up YOUR self esteem for YOU. but if you got your WEAK ass up, your husband wouldn't be so "weak" to look elsewhere. the confidence to dress like that and not care also means having the common sense to spot weak ppl and ward them off. and ppl like that do.
