Don't even bother with the Circuit City sales {WalletPop}

Jan 25th 2009 11:41PM I'm actually sorry to see the store go under. I love Circuit City. Just spent $2700 there last month. The tv we bought was $300 cheaper there than anywhere else in town (we went to at least 6 places and another 5 websites before buying). The staff was helpful, knowledgable and pleasant. When you shop around before making a purchase, you can really tell who is full of bull and who is paying attention! I guess I'll start buying electronics at Sears, because Best Buy had the worst prices and customer service while we were shopping around. At least Sears contributes a lot to charties and they also stand behind our troops.

French Politician Back to Work 5 Days After C-section {ParentDish}

Jan 16th 2009 3:29PM Who says you have to stay at home all day to enjoy your child...if anything someone that stays home with their child everyday, day after day, does not appreciate and spend as much QUALITY time with their child. There are 24 hours in a day, so spending 6 to 8 hours a day at work still leaves plenty of time to lead a quality lifestyle and be a good mother. We should be thanking our lucky stars that this wasn't another welfare baby!

French Politician Back to Work 5 Days After C-section {ParentDish}

Jan 16th 2009 3:24PM This isn't the 50's anymore...June Cleaver was a charcater on a tv show, not a real person! Most of us have to work to provide. How do some of you get off being judgemental? I suppose if this was her fourth baby and she was a stay at home mom on welfare, this would be acceptable for you. I've seen hard working mothers with careers that took WAY better care of their children than some stay at home moms do. Just because you stay home with your child, does NOT make you a better mother, so get off your high horse. I say "YOU GO GIRL"! I bet she raises that baby to be a wonderful human being that contributes to society.

Millionaire Destroyed Priceless Lucian Freud Painting {Luxist}

Aug 27th 2008 2:15PM The man destroyed a painting of himself...haven't you ever torn up an unflattering photograph of yourself?? It was his image, so his right to destroy.

Brooke Shield's mother "disappointed" in celebrity daughter {ParentDish}

Feb 24th 2008 11:23AM The story makes it sound like the Grandmother just sits around waiting for Brooke to bring her the grandkids....why doesn't she get off her @ss and go see them herself. Maybe Brooke is just protecting herself and her kids from a negative person. She obviously has nothing nice to say about her own daughter or her husband...what kind of mother would do that??? I'm sure the magazine paid her for the interview, so she is just being overdramatic to make it worth their while. I say "Get a life MOM"!

Ask me about taxes {WalletPop}

Feb 13th 2008 7:15PM Hi Tracy,
I have been a single parent for the last 17 years. My son turned 17 on December 30th...can I still claim the child tax credit? It says that the child must be under 17? Also, I got married in September. I have claimed head of household for the last 16 years. Do I have to file 'Married' for 2007 even though I was single head of household for the rest of the year? I stand to owe several thousand if both of those answers don't pan out in my favor.
Thank you in advance for your time!

Update: Sanz, Parnell, and Thompson off SNL {AOL TV}

Aug 24th 2006 11:50AM The real problem with the show is that all the really talented people only use it as a stepping stone in their careers. Where the hell is Jimmy Fallon anyway, I haven't seen him in anything since the baseball movie with barrymore. I guess the need for more money and fame win out over a longterm career. I'll still always watch it though, it's like driving by a car accident.
