He is unemployed,,,the family is in debt,,and he is currently "shopping" the possibility of establishing a "reality show" on TV. What better way to secure this show than to have his daughter sail solo around the world, He basically risked the life of his own daughter in order to advance his one chance at fame & success.

May 25th 2010 6:22PM I agree with wda730 that this article is stupid & a waste of space! I am a conservative, and have not yet formed an opion as to Ms. Kagen's qualifications; however, to judge this judicial candidate on the basis of her appearance is ludicrous. Goodness knows, there have been many very qualified & talented people who have presented a much more offensive persona than does Ms. Kagen. I feel her "seated position" (feet planted firmly on the floor, leaning slightly forward, with arms resting on her legs)indicates a relaxed & attentive attitude towards her interviewer. Plus, in all fairness to Ms. Kagen, the shape & length of her legs do not lend themselves to being crossed. If she crossed these legs, there would be those who would criticize her for "showing too much thigh". C'mon folks, let's concentrate on her qualifications(or lack thereof)and not concern ourselves with how she walks, sits, carries herself, or her wardrobe.

For her to find fault with her partner,,a professional dance instructor,,is absolutely ludicrous,,and is just another example of the over-bearing, condescsending, know-it-all attitude which she exhibited on her previous show. Poor Kate,,you need to take a course in "How to Win Friends & Influence People". And stop trying to be a "prima dona",,because it isn't working. Hopefully,,, this will cause her to lose any sport-offered scholarship. Let her parents pay for her education,,,,since they have raised such an unsportsman person. What a witch!! And,,,, in my opinion,,,, her public apology is just a little too late. If her behavior hadn't been captured on tape,,,, she would've continued this disgusting behavior.

Jul 9th 2009 6:46PM This is the "lulu" of the many sex scandals which have recently been exposed to us (governors, senators, etc.) Is just beyond my comprehension why these men,, who are constantly in the public's eye,, continue to jeporadize their careers,, their marriages,, (and even their lives, as with McNair),,by messing around with other women. They end up ruining their own reputations,,the lives of their family,,their careers,,and often the lives of the "other woman". For what? In this case,, McNair lost his life,, by "dallying" with the wrong woman. To paraphrase a previous post on this site,,"If he had just kept "it" at home and in his pants,,he would still be alive. For his sake,, I hope it was worth it.
