Little Luxuries for Dorms {Luxist}

Aug 21st 2006 9:41PM Okay, first off... why don't they feature bargain items at places like Wal-Mart and such for freshmen in new dorms. Most college students and their parents aren't really in the position financially to support extreme luxeries such as this. I think we have to redefine this world's definition of luxury. Not to be extreme, but running water and electricity are "luxuries." I am, by no means, too old school. I just like anyone else enjoy technology and such. But haven't we taken things a little far?? I think this originally posting is outrageous. I mean look at the title, "Little Luxeries for Dorms." Little? Since when is a $190 robe a little expense? I'd much rather see how much you can do with a dorm room for the cheapest price. I love fooling people into thinking I spend a lot of money on decor and such, when really I just don't buy the first thing that looks great. I work it and stretch my dollars!
