Jan 18th 2011 9:53AM Reading your advice to the Grandma with the 4yr old who has temper tantrums. I completely agree that this one seems to be pushed beyond his capacity for errands etc. My experience has been to just don't say a word, just pick up the little one, give him a little hugging, very gently and talk quietly in his or her ear with soothing little nothings. Then let him talk his nap as soon as you can. The little one is probably just tired. So many parents only consider their situation and continually say that the little ones don't take naps anymore because they are inconvenient for the parent. My experience is that this is not so, little ones still need that nap. It is remarkable how their disposition improves with one.

Aug 28th 2009 11:00PM Pretty sad when people have no more dignity than to go out in public in almost their underwear. If people took more pride in their appearance maybe then this type of thing wouldn't be necessary. It's actually pretty embarrassing when you think about it, being told dress decently by a hotel. I think they are just tired of seeing people looking like they just hopped out of bed and it's ok to go anywhere like that. They probably don't even brush their teeth.

It sounds like he genuinely is disgusted by the whole country. He would much rather be a European. Notice how he kow tows to all the European community and apologizes for being an American, and apologizes for all we have done as a Country for the past 200 years. We bailed out Europe in both WW1 and WWII or we would all be speaking German. We "liberated" France, and they now embrace a Socialist type of government. He REALLY wants us to copy their behavior. How soon can we Un-Elect him from this job?? We should count the days, then he can move to Europe and try it over there for a while.

Maybe Tom and Lorraine should move to a Communist Country where they Tell you where to work, take all your money, and distribute as the "Government" sees fit.
Good luck with that. Why don't you go to work and make sure you sign off every check to the IRS. They will be much more able to decide how your $$ will be spent.
