Mother's Day? No, Try Goddess Day {Politics Daily}
May 3rd 2010 11:47PM Yeah. That's called Valentine's Day. Mother's Day is not for women. Its for mothers. Women are goddesses all year round, and should be acknowledged for that, but being a mother is a special lifetime commitment. Why do women without children feel like they have to horn in on someone else's day? Goddess day? No. I think the Goddess would tell you to shut the hell up and give props to mothers for a moment.
Volkswagen announces new 1.2L three-cylinder diesel; should push new Polo to 71 mpg {Autoblog Green}
May 3rd 2010 7:54PM You watch - people will spend a lot more on fixing their VolksWagon than they would have spent on gas. The last VW I bought was a Beetle, and I've spend as much money to fix it as I did to buy it. VW is crap. Their own shops can't fix their stuff. There were "known problems" that their people couldn't fix, plus a lot of stuff you could only go to a VW dealer to fix (and then they did it badly). The back light made for the car doesn't actually fit the opening. I wouldn't be tempted to buy another VW no matter what they promised. Crap is crap.

Apr 23rd 2010 4:10AM I've been right here, watching over and over as abuses like this happen for many years, not a few. And no matter how many neighborhoods are ruined and owners are cheated, no one will change it or stop it. By its very nature it is a law that allows government to take what is not theirs. That's called stealing anywhere else, but anywhere else you have rights when someone steals from you. Not here.

Apr 23rd 2010 3:34AM Most people don't know about Eminent Domain until it hits them. Eminent Domain happens all the time, and NO ONE can fight or stop it. There is NEVER and Eminent Domain case where the homeowner wins, EVER. (And a LOT of them make owners sell to greedy developers, not for schools, hospitals, etc. like people think.) It is legal, and it is an abomination.

Apr 23rd 2010 3:28AM Eminent Domain is a legal theft. It is used to give to private companies all the time. Greedy developers always get cities to steal peoples' homes with Eminent Domain, and there is nothing anyone can do. Not only that, but they usually wind up paying a fraction of what they should to the owner. Most cases of eminent domain are pure abuse by local government.

Mar 31st 2010 3:51PM Just because some hateful jerk claims to be a Christian doesn't mean God is up there sayin' "Yep, that guy really represents me!" And JUST BECAUSE some jerk claims to be a REPUBLICAN doesn't mean that WE AGREE with their stupidity and actions. Don't act like there aren't people out there who do stuff in the name of the Democratic Party that you guys don't say "That ain't us. That's just some jerk claiming to be us!"
Resegregation of North Carolina Schools Leads to Massive Protests {BV Black Spin}
Mar 28th 2010 1:18PM Why can't people just accept that these people think it's rediculous for their kids to be bussed all over just so they can go to school with black kids?
Kids should be able to go to school by their house, and the funding for ALL public schools should be based on number of children, not economic status.
White parents are tired of them and their kids having to feel bad about stuff that happened many generations ago that they didn't do. Blacks just want to think everything is about them. They are the most racist people on the planet.

Mar 11th 2010 6:21PM Yes, well there are a lot of "Ex-Friends" out there who, after they said something out of love, got systematically removed from the couples' new life. People realize this early on, like in Jr High, and learn to keep their mouth shut and let people make their own mistakes.
Most people who DO make it hard for others to tell them the truth don't realize it. If that's you, then you deserve what you get.

Jan 29th 2010 3:01PM It was years after I graduated that I found out that a lot of people who I didn't think knew I existed actually thought of me very fondly. High-schoolers are oblivious. You might be surprised to find out how many people wanted YOUR attention that YOU didn't know about because you were wrapped up in your own high-school dramas.
So you were invisible in high-school, or an easy target, and now you're all grown up and purty and self-confident. Yay! But if you intentionally diss someone because they failed to notice you in high school, you're just being the mean person you THOUGHT they were.
And watch Gross Pointe Blank. Might help you laugh it off and start over.
