Mar 4th 2010 10:21PM Bad math somewhere. Length of 102 feet times 50 feet beam is 5100 square feet, even if it were rectangular, which it is not. How can it have 5300 square feet of solar panels? Somebody did not check elementary facts. I was born at night, but not last night. Another myth like global warming, but this one is easier to spot as a hoax.
Sep 22nd 2009 1:00AM The Muslim girl wants a job in a mall? If she were a "true" Muslim, according to material I have read, she would be kept secluded at home unless escorted by a close male relative, and not be educated.
Another Muslim woman applied for a driver's license but insisted on wearing a burka (or wahatever) that completely covered her face except for the eyes. You call that a photo ID? In most Muslim countries, she would not be allowed to drive a vehicle. I remember that in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, our female soldiers were not allowed to drive U.S. Army vehicles in their line of duty. O.K., let them make the rules in THEIR country, and let us make the rules here in the U.S.A. Let's see her wear a crucifix and apply for a job in Saudi Arabia. Sharia law would get her horse-whipped in public, if not beheaded.
Jun 19th 2009 4:29PM I was in the Army, and don't look for any special favors for myslelf. A nice local restaurant gives free meals to veterans who can show a military ID on certain holidays like Veteran's Day. I have taken them up on that offer.
Here's something that I do.. A young Marine was behind me in the barber shop. When the barber was finished with me, I paid for myself and the Marine, and left quietly before the Marine got in the chair. I often ask the waitress to give me the check for military or police personnel hear my table. We can never fully repay these people for standing between us and total anarchy.
As for the amusement park incident, the manager missed a great opportunity for favorable publicity. I would have gladly paid for the Marine and his nurse. Too bad such stupid people are in charge of anything
