Zune 2.0: How Microsoft could beat the iPod {TUAW.com}
Dec 1st 2006 12:31AM #11 YES the iPod is mainly there due its looks. BUT a major factor into the entire thing is also its ease of use. I never could have thought so myself since everyone who I knew earlier was pretty much decently involved with computers so it would be naturally easy for them to use it. But just recently when I stayed over at my aunts house, she took the nano from me to see what it was and within a minute, she basically learnt how to use the damn thing from starting it up, to shutting it down. This was the moment I realized that "Yes, Apple have created a simplistic masterpiece". It's really not about all the features etc. It's more about the usability which 90% of the world cares about.
Flying High: The Best First Class {Luxist}
Oct 18th 2006 11:04AM OK, heres my take on it since I've flown all three recently ( well Virgin was one year back).
1) VA - Good service, great seats but just felt short of being truly 'First Class'
2) Emirates - Great service, great amenities, great ambience, so-so seats in terms of width/length, otherwise fabulous in terms of support, comfort etc.
3) By far THE WORST first class I've ever experienced. Horrendous service, extremely cramped seats, completely overpriced BUT the best connections to anywhere in the world. And do you really think people travelling in First Class really care about spotting some celebrity or the other? I know I dont.
Others worth a mention:
Swiss, Lufthansa. Don't know much about Singapore Airlines but they're supposed to be great.

Apple to face iPod/iTunes antitrust suit {TUAW.com}
Feb 10th 2006 10:19AM I really don't mean this personally to anyone particular, but WOW I really can't believe the way USA is going. People are suing companies on such frivolous terms and then they are crying about Americas economy going into ruins. Obviously this isn't a major factor but its the small things which add up and turn into the situation which people are facing today.
Veronica Mars: Cheatty Cheatty Bang Bang {AOL TV}
Oct 13th 2005 10:05AM Just have to say, BEST. SHOW. EVER!!!! I know that lines somewhat common but WOW!!!! I started watching VM towards the end of last season since I had nothing to downl.. sorry I mean watch at that time. I had read the description but never got to the hassle of downloa... ermm watching another show. IMHO the first two episodes of the season were a bit dull and didn't seem upto par (maybe because i was spoiled), but this one? DAMN!!! I loved it and absolutely loved the ending with the shred it, shred all your files and the 'great escape'. Hopefully people realise how great a show this is and stop watching that 'others' show which just seems to be dragging one crappy plotline for 4 episodes which they could've fit in the first episode itself.
Terminal Tips: Repair Your Permissions {TUAW.com}
May 12th 2005 12:21PM When I tried it I came upon something funny, We trust you have received the usual lecture from the local System Administrator. It usually boils down to these three things: #1) Respect the privacy of others. #2) Think before you type. #3) With great power comes great responsibility.
Apple rumored to increase standard RAM from 256MB to 512MB {TUAW.com}
Mar 12th 2005 4:24AM I would say 512 mb would be the sweet spot for just normal everyday use with iPhoto, iTunes etc. iMovie or any professional video app would definitely require more. My PB 17" is currently at 1.5 GB and my Mac Mini is at 1 GB. I love maxing out my ram like the 4 gb i drpped in the amd 64 PC

Apple poised to make it big in India {TUAW.com}
Mar 8th 2005 2:33AM Well, Apple India has really increased its services. They have set-up a toll-free helpline recently, have made real-time upgrades on their site regarding pricing. I really hope they increase their marketing though, as many people are up for buying Mac's right now( I know a lot of them) but they don't have the slightest clue as to what how where why. Personally I love supporting Apple. I just recently purchased a Mac Mini and a 20 inch Apple Display.
