Quiznos subs: Calories disasters {That's Fit}

Nov 21st 2007 11:24PM Regardless of the numbers... I think it should definitely be required for all restaurants to list nutrition facts in the stores. If people start actually seeing what they're eating, these places will lose business, and then they will either be forced to close down or to fix their recipes! We need change, and this is a way to get it.

Fast Food Review: The Baconator {AOL Food Blog}

Aug 20th 2007 2:27PM I worked at a Wendy's over the summer as a cashier. I was really surprised at how many people actually order Baconators--and stunned at how many ordered them in a Large-sized Combo. Even with my half-off discount, I would never venture to eat one of those. Working at a place like that really opens your eyes to what you're eating when you order a meal at a fast food restaurant...and I think some people really need that eye-opener.

Btw, at least at the Wendy's where I worked, they still have the Big Bacon Classic. It might be hidden on the menu or not listed, so ask if you don't see it. Another option would be to order a single and ask for bacon to be added ($0.50 extra).

The World's Most Expensive Water {Luxist}

Aug 18th 2007 9:59AM To me the great genius of bottled water to begin with was the convenience. I don't need fancier water, just water I can easily take with me. $33.50 for 2 little ounces is ridiculous...

Fergie Falls Victim to the High-Waisted Trend {Stylelist}

Jun 24th 2007 11:31PM Are you not noticing how big her hips look? If Fergie can barely pull it off, then there's no hope for the rest of us!! I agree with #11. Those things are NOT comfortable. And I'd just like to point out that it is not high-waisted, lowriders, or nothing. There are a lot of jeans IN BETWEEN those two, so it doesn't necessarily mean that Fergie's pants would be falling off her butt if they weren't the kind that come up to your chest.

"Mom jeans" making a comeback {Stylelist}

Apr 29th 2007 6:20PM This is just ridiculuous. Those jeans look horrible even on the 100 pound model in the picture. Pants do not need to come to your waist! That's not even comfortable! Hip huggers are popular because they don't restrict you and feel a heck of a lot nicer than a denim corset around your stomach.

UK women experiment with binging -- results not surprising {That's Fit}

Mar 2nd 2007 4:40PM Um.. "affect" is a verb. "Effect" is a noun and is what you should have used in the third paragraph.

Imitation Fries hit the menu in Arizona schools {ParentDish}

Aug 16th 2006 1:59PM I am a high school senior at a school in Ohio. My cafeteria serves fries all the time. A disgusting amount of them. They fill the main portion of the tray with fries and stick a hamburger in the smaller section. And kids eat all of the fries because they are put in front of them. I think the biggest problem is portion control. Having a handful of fries a few times a month isn't going to kill you... but if you eat them every other day in MASS QUANTITIES, you're gonna have problems. Also, schools need to offer better choices. At my school, either you buy the school lunch, which is usually fries and a burger, chicken nuggets, pizza, or something of the sort or you buy a la carte which offers pizza, cheese-filled breadsticks, ice cream, and candy, among other things. I could not put together a healthy lunch out of those choices even if I tried, except on the rare days when the school lunch is salad bar, consisting of nearly-nutritionless iceberg lettuce and a few carrots. If I could buy salad everyday, I would. The problem is they don't give you the option.
