Daimler To Phase Out Maybach Brand {Luxist}
Mar 17th 2010 6:43AM I had a 1995 Mercedes SL 500. Thank goodness for the warranty. At 35 thousand miles the convertible top was on its way up and stopped. The electric windows also quit. That was 4000 thousands dollars. I had to pay the deductible of 500 dollars. At 48 thousand miles the valve train had to be replaced. That was about 12000 dollars. Another 500 dollar deductible. The warranty was almost out when we sold it to a local car lot. HUGE LOSS on selling this car. A month later the dealership we sold it to called. They ask if we had ever had a problem with the car just quitting. The person they had sold it to had problems with the car just stopping. No problem could be found. It would stop running and then it might be a day, week, or many weeks the car would mysterious start running again. I do love Mercedes look. Especially the Roadsters but I would not buy another. Give me a Porsche or BMW to drive which are great cars in the same price range.
Wait ... When Did Patrick Dempsey Become a Sex Symbol?!? {Cinematical}
Mar 1st 2010 7:32AM Okay ladies...You say it is unfair that he (men) improve with age?
I can remember quite a few girls I grew up with that were very plain...Not ugly but plain or you might say average...Well many of them really blossomed later in life...The 16 year old plain gals have turned into 40 year old hotties....Funny though...A good percentage of the 16 year old hotties I grew up with are now middle aged uglies...
I look at them as flowers...When they blossomed to soon many of them wilted away before their time...But the ones that blossomed later in life seem like they are ageless now...
Many of the so called guy studs in High School did not age well at all...Many have become old, bald fat guys that are now divorced and could not get a hottie if they tried..
Now about me in High School...I was the fat chubby kid...Never got many dates...But I also blossomed later in life into a 6ft4, 220 pound guy...Funny thing is when I look into a mirror I see the 16 year old kid I was...But the ladies all seem to swoon over me now...I guess I was one of the lucky ones...
2010 NBA Slam Dunk Contest Participants Revealed {Fanhouse NBA Blog}
Jan 18th 2010 1:26PM Spud Webb was the best ever and the most fun to watch...He was only 5ft7 and about 135lbs....He Could Fly!!!
Webb, with a vertical leap of 42 inches, was the shortest person to compete in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. He won the event in 1986. His participation surprised the media; including his teammate and defending dunk champion Dominique Wilkins, who had "never seen me dunk before," Webb said. His dunks included the elevator two-handed double pump dunk, the one-handed off the backboard one-handed jam, a 360-degree helicopter one-handed dunk, a 180-degree reverse double-pump slam, and finally, the 180-degree reverse two-handed strawberry jam from a lob bounce off the floor. He defeated Wilkins with two perfect 150-point scores in the final round. Atlanta coach Mike Fratello said, "Spud kind of duped him. He told Wilkins he never had anything prepared, didn't practice for it. So, Wilkins maybe thought his normal assortment would be good enough to get through". Twenty years after Webb's victory in the Slam Dunk contest, he trained New York Knicks point guard Nate Robinson (who stands at 5 feet 9 inches tall) to win the event. Webb tossed the ball to Robinson, who leaped over Webb and dunked, earning 50 points from the judges. Robinson went on to win, making him and Spud the only two people in basketball history under six feet to win a slam dunk contest.

Agree, but it was actually Vince Lombardi who said
"When you get in the end zone act like you've been there before".
Sorry Tom Winter...It wasn't Vince Lombardi...It was Coach Paul "BEAR" Bryant when he coached the University Of Alabama...
