Jun 24th 2010 8:14PM i am a black woman and have been following tennis religiously the past 10 years. when serena was snubbed today her race never even crossed my mind. i was actually just curious as to why she wasnt playing center court. when mary c. mentioned players that represented monarchs would be playing center court..made perfect sense to me. i had actually forgotten about serena's antics at last year's u.s. open (wince). so that too hadn't crossed my mind. what didnt make sense was the fact that she was playing on court 2! that i thought was a snub. on the bright side serena did get to meet and bow to the Queen, and venus got to participate in lunch with her as well as other players. so i would hesitate to play the race card, because i dont think that was the reason at all. after reading peoples comments, the one thing i can agree on, is that this is another price to pay for her spectacle at u.s. open last year. with that being said, contrary to what some people have posted, i think serena is beautiful, and has class, and will continue to win despite what people say. she is bigger than this snub. she will WIN wimbledon, and participate in the festivities afterward, b/c that's who she is, and smile the whole time :)

May 20th 2009 2:54AM i personally would love to spend a night at the inn. yes its expensive but i'll give it a dry. i prefer eve and roarke. so i will see if there is a room for them. and choose to stay there. good luck to nora roberts and her husband.
