King's Malibu Flip, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Apr 21st 2007 3:12AM This is "The White Castle". This place has about as much "warmth" as an igloo. Plan on doing a total interior redo if you want this place to look like a place that is selling on it's stand alone value. House flipping is fine, but this place looks to me like someone "SAT" on it and went to Value City and threw bought furnishings.
hope the view is great but with what could be done with someone with taste it has potential.
By the way,the kitchen looks someone will have to use roller skates as it is so space wasteful.
Grade C at best

Apr 21st 2007 2:53AM It's in Philly, this has got to be a joke. I know the "town" wants to beat the drum of downtown coming back and being vital .. but your so called "Urban Living" means that you will live in a state of lockdown if your too close to too much a few miles away. $4,100,000.00 + for 4100+ sq. feet ? Someone better have money to burn to even think of living in this box at estate prices and there are much better deals in Philly.

Bethany Beach, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Apr 21st 2007 2:39AM this home looks like nothing more then a prefab that was built to look majestic, but is really a blow away when the beach erodes from storms.
check with the owner to find out about heating this Barn as is looks wide open and Maryland has cold winters and the view out those windows don't change much except during storms.

The Highlands, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Apr 21st 2007 2:25AM As those trees continue to grow, you better find out if trimming or cutting them down is a legal option...otherwise you can toss that view away in a few years as it will be covered and it looks like they are pitching it as a major selling point seeing how it is one of the first pictures on the listing. views you may not have in a few years need to be checked out.
If you want a home with a view, keep shopping no matter how grand the entrance looks.

Sutton Corners Farm, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Apr 21st 2007 2:05AM From the outside this looks like the home at 1313 Mocking Bird Lane (see "The Munsters"). Sad thing is the location. Bedford is really "Bedrock" as it is only a town of 16,000 people and probably not much of a social environ unless you need an escape.
Would be great for a summer retreat though as 12 acres should keep the wolves away depending on how close the house sits next to any access roads.

Piney Point Village, Estate of the Day {Luxist}
Apr 21st 2007 1:41AM this palace just stays under the line between over the top and tacky. the fact that it's parked on less then an acre means other homes may be too close for freedom which will bring that price down.
overall C+
