Gabrielle Union on Rihanna's Music Video: 'I Tried to Shoot My Rapist Too' {PopEater}
Jun 8th 2011 8:45PM to colleen;
Are you really thinking this through at all ? How long have we had TV? And for how long have there been guns on TV shows?
Violence on TV & it's influence on the young has been an issue from the very begining, but, again (speaking as a parent), if my husband & I can't at the very least set boundries for what our son is exposed to in our own home & for instilling decent values & a personal sence of responibilty in him, than WE are at fault, not some "flavor of the month" celebrity on MTV! Why don't we bring video games in to the mix while we're at it?
BTW, MTV has had a LOT more violence against & degredation of women than vise versa. If this was a woman being *depicted* as being shot, I bet half these posters would not even care!

Jun 8th 2011 8:23AM BTW, (speaking as a parent) who the hell said *anyone* on MTV should be a "role model"? (besides you) Why don't YOU try taking a little personal responsibility for raisng your children & try to be the role model YOU think they need ?

Jun 8th 2011 8:15AM "Where are my t.v. censors??" WTF? Why would you need a censor when all you have to do is; (#1) turn it OFF (BTW, it's that little power button at the top of the remote) or (#2) change the channel (again, see remote)
If you are watching MTV, you should know (unless you are totally clueless) it's going to be over the top & you should watch with caution.
'Genderless' Baby Raises a Storm of Controversy {ParentDish}
May 26th 2011 8:05PM to Ernie,
I noticed that you didn't answer my question. You just went for an insult (& not a very colorfull, interesting or mentaly challenging one)
My son is now a grown man, gainfully employed, well adjusted, seems to like us (though that could be an act ; ) and in case you are wondering (& I know you are) straight.
He's a bit of a smart ass (he must get it from his father) but other than that, my husband & I are truely blessed.
You know, it's a shame we weren't your parents. You might have grown up to be a lot smarter and a better person.

May 26th 2011 7:50PM Why is everyone going apesh*t on these parents ? IT'S A BABY !!! To treat an INFANT differently because of it's gender is INSANE ! The truth is, those of you hurling the worst insults are just afraid the parents, by not participating and reinforcing stupid, sexist stereotypes, are going to "make the baby gay".
Just admit it.
Tell me something, how would you treat a male baby differently than a female ? If it makes a really big difference to you, than there is something seriously wrong with you. And I am speaking as a parent.
Patricia Heaton Has Lost Potential Roles Because of Her Politics {PopEater}
May 24th 2011 9:02AM Yeah, actually, she did force her beliefs on others. She would constantly call Peter Doyle a "baby Killer". That *your* idea of being respectfull of other beliefs ?
Patricia Heaton Has Lost Potential Roles Because of Her Politics {PopEater}
May 24th 2011 8:08AM Yeeeaaaahh, you know, before anyone here goes crying a river for Ms. Heaton, or raging about how "Liberal Hollywood" hates Christians (and I am speaking *as* a Christian, BTW) perhaps someone should remind her of all the times she referred to her ELR co-star, the late Peter Boyle, as a "baby killer". Typical right-wing hypocrisy, They can dish it out, but can't take it.

Feb 16th 2011 8:17AM You are so freaken' lucky ! I meant it, if more children were blessed to have the parent you have, I don't think we would have so many of the problems we have right now.
Angry Bird {MyDaily}
Jan 30th 2011 1:07PM Has anyone noticed that it's mostly vehicles that are being attacked? *And* it durring winter! Are our fellow Avian-Americans making a concerted protest against carbon emissions? Makes you think. After all, global warming affect us all. Maybe they blame us (& rightfully so) for these bizzaro winters we're having.
