Frankie Edgar to Defend Title Against Gray Maynard at UFC 125 {MMA Fighting}

Sep 30th 2010 12:29AM Dana white better have a monster card on tap cause now he is trying to challenge bowl day and a bcs bowl game that night. I love mma but edgar and maynard will be ultra boring unless you like watching someone lay on the other guy. You need a big heavyweight fight and a big light heavyweight fight and those should actually be the main event. Edgar is just not really all that marketable and maynard is not marketable at all. Give me bones jones against wanderlei silva. Give me mir against dos santos and guida against someone who wants to thump for fireworks.

Serena Williams, Sore Loser? {Fanhouse Backporch}

Jul 7th 2008 11:05AM She is definitely a sore loser. She's been that way for quite some time. Whenever she loses she takes on this bitchy attitude like her stuff don't stink. She answers reporters like "I don't want to be here right now" and crap like that. But she definitely wants to be there when she wins and loves to talk about it. That's what a sore loser is. Maybe she was gracious in losing to big sis, but overall Serena has a pissy attitude when she loses and can't lose with class and dignity. She has to always act like a prima donna.

Roger Federer blaming the lack of light for his loss is completely different than Serena whining whenever she loses and having temper tantrums. If Federer couldn't see the ball, he couldn't see the ball. It's not easy to see the ball when it's dark outside and the ball is coming at 130 mph. Yeah, Nadal had to endure the same conditions, but everyone doesn't have the same eyesight.

Serena though has history of crying after every loss and not wanting to talk to media about the loss. Just accept it and move on. That's what makes you a real champion.

On Demons and Saints: A Story About Travis Johnson and Media Hype {Fanhouse NFL Blog}

Oct 10th 2007 3:47PM I am a Dolphins fan. Trent Green got himself hurt. He threw himself at Travis Johnson's kneecaps. He could have easily ended Johnson's career if Johnson's knee had blown out which was quite possible with the kind of hit. On top of that, Johnson landed on his head....Um, potential neck injury there. Johnson was running after Ted Ginn and Green threw himself at his knees. Green got a knee in the head for his trouble and knocked himself out. The fact that Johnson got up and taunted him wasn't so much about taunting him as he was not appreciative of the type of sissy block that Green was trying to throw. Secondly, I doubt he knew that Green was knocked out like that. Either way, as a Dolphins fan, I don't think of Johnson as a villian at all. I look at him as a guy who nearly got his knee chopped off by another sissy QB who throw a shoulder into a big man and instead tries to cut him from the backside.

Kenny Lofton: Sheffield Is Right About Torre {Fanhouse MLB Blog}

Jul 16th 2007 3:05AM I am personally Gary Sheffield fan, but his comments were of no benefit to himself or anyone for that matter. All he sounds like is a bitter player who is upset that the Yankees didn't keep him, although I wish they had.

I am personally very bothered by the fact the Yanks chose to keep Bobby Abreu over Shef. Sheffield is ripping the ball as he always has and Abreu has been awful and I am not particularly surprised with that.

But his comments are totally out of left field. If he was pissed off, why didn't he make these comments after he moved on to the Tigers? Why wait til the middle of the season? I don't get it.

Kenny Lofton....I am a die hard Yankees fan and I forgot he was even onthe Yankees. I am sorry, that's because he SUCKED with the Yankees. Am I or is anyone supposed to care what Lofton has to say? He can keep his lip zipped. I'd be calling him out everyday with that pathetic .174 batting average.

I will also say that I am not a fan of Joe Torre's. Maybe he did call black players out in the locker room and not white players. I don't know. I wasn't there.

But Sheff has been a cry baby with the media most of his career. He's one of the most gifted players in the game who keeps on getting traded. How does a guy with his numbers always get sent packing? It's because he whines too damn much.

But at the same time, I remain a big time Sheff fan and he scares the crap out of me as an opponent when he steps to the plate no matter what nonsense comes out of his mouth.

Dwayne Wade's House, Estate of the Day {Luxist}

Apr 14th 2007 4:02AM I am a realtor in Miami and there is no way in the world this house will sell for 8.9 million or anywhere near that asking price.

We are suffering from a down time in the market in Miami as everything has become overpriced.

Wade's home is beautiful. Anyone would LOVE to live in it. Every person who said they wouldn't is full of crap, but not for 9 mil. It might go for six, but not 9. Let alone having to redo a pool that was done for him specifically, having a mural of himself in the home as well as the marble W on the floor. Quite frankly, if I am spending that kind of money on a home, I want to move right in and not have to do the work that would be needed to change those things.

But it doesn't sniff the palace that Shaq lives in on Star Island that he's selling for like 20 million.

Hoya Paranoia Heads Back to the Final Four {Fanhouse NCAA Basketball Blog}

Mar 25th 2007 7:55PM Roy Williams totally sucks as a coach. UNC is a run and gun team. Up 10, he slows it down and that's when Georgetown took over the game. It's embarrassing to watch UNC give that game away, but it only happened because Williams choked as he always does. The only reason he finally won a title a couple years ago was because he had ridiculous talent. And still he almost blew the championship game to Illinois. It's a joke watching UNC slow the ball down when they pushed the pace for 33 minutes and had Georgetown on the ropes. He plays 12 guys in the first half. Second half I don't think he played more than 7. That game could have turned into a blowout, but Williams, as usual, as he always did at Kansas, found a way to give it away.
