Get good karma and a free taco Aug. 27 {WalletPop}

Sep 18th 2009 11:13AM This is a really good idea, sadly we don't have Taco Bells in the UK, but still a great idea. I have only just started using ecards but already much prefer them to paper cards. I always opt for a free site and there are loads around. I don't need to spend money on postage, or the greeting itself, so I am very happy. Hope this is useful to anyone who is having money problems like me.

Dads to make due with less this Father's Day {WalletPop}

Jun 18th 2009 12:11PM I am sure we can forgive a little typo!
I can't believe how fast Father's Day has come round again. I have got Dads gift all sorted out. I got him a lovely print which I am having framed right now. I am also going to be cooking roast chicken with all the trimmings with a melt in the middle hot choc pot for afters - with cream of course. I am also going to send Dad an e-Card this year, just as it something a little bit different. Dad is always on his computer playing card games and puzzles, so I think I might try and send him an eCard this year. I spent ages on the net trying to find a site I liked and have come across a cool site that has lots of free Fathers Day eCards . I had never sent an eCard before, so I was glad this site made it really easy to choose and send a card. I was pleased to see a large range of Father’s Day cards too. There are loads of sites out there so it is definitely worth trying some out and seeing what you like.

The Fashion Files: Taraji in Silver and White, Designer Jewelry for Less and More! {Blackvoices Main}

Jun 3rd 2009 5:46AM Hiya,

I kinda like the dress with the fish tail, if it were long all the way round it would be so classy and elegant. My friend is getting married and our bridesmaid dresses are similar in colour. We are all getting excited as the hen weekend is coming up soon, and to boot the bride to be has come up with a way to reduce costs. Instead of sending all her hens paper invites (which would have cost a fortune) she is opting for e-Card invites. I was a bit baffled by her idea, but then she explained to me that they are better for the environment as no paper is required, and as long as you choose a free site, then the service won’t cost a penny! She told me that she had found a Free Invitation e-Card site. I checked it out and it looks really cool, lots of funny cards. There are loads of e-Card sites out there, so it may be worth doing your own research and finding one that suites you best. Hope this helps, and good luck everyone on your forthcoming weddings. Love and Hugs.

Custom Cufflinks For Father's Day {Luxist}

May 26th 2009 10:18AM Hiya,

Fathers Day is coming up really soon, and I really need to get my thinking cap on as I still don't know what to buy Dad! I sometimes find it quite hard to come up with new ideas, but I guess sometimes it is better to stick to the ideas which I know he will enjoy. I think the whole family will be taking him out to his favorite sea food restaurant on Fathers Day, and I think my brother is going to take him to play golf in the afternoon. I won’t be able to make it till much later on but I will be there for the meal which will be nice. I have found it hard to find a Father’s Day card which I think Dad will like, also I find that shops always charge so much money for cards, so this time I have decided to try something different. Dad is always on his computer playing card games and puzzles, so I think I might try and send him an eCard this year. I spent ages on the net trying to find a site I liked and have come across a cool Fathers Day e-Card site which is free. My wedding gift from Uncle Sam: a strong dollar for my Spanish honeymoon {WalletPop}

May 14th 2009 12:17PM Hey everyone,

I saw the article about weddings and think it is great that so many couples are showing us that romance is still very much alive. I know so many people who don’t really believe in getting married, they say they don’t need a piece of paper to show they are committed to each other. I think it is such an important, special day for any couple when they announce an engagement. My friend just got engaged and she is worrying about the costs! So when she told me she was going to save money on the little things I thought this was a great idea. She decided to send out e-Cards to spread the word of her engagement, and I have to admit the one she chose is amazing! She told me all about a site that allows you to send free engagement e-Cards. I think it is a great idea, a modern twist on a paper greeting. This means she has more money to spend on her dress! Hope this info helps! Good Luck to everyone getting married!

Recession weddings {AOL Lifestyle UK}

May 11th 2009 9:38AM Hey everyone,

I saw the article about weddings, and since my friend is getting married in July I wanted to add a quick comment. she is becoming more and more worried about the growing cost. I think it is all the little things that add up really, but then again it is such a special day, that she wants the very best, and she deserves it. I wanted to share a tip with you all. She is having a hen weekend which will include a spa day, a day at a theme park, and a rather drunken night out! Instead of sending all her hens paper invites (which would have cost a fortune) she is opting for e-Card invites. I was a bit baffled by her idea, but then she explained to me that they are better for the environment as no paper is required, and as long as you choose a free site, then the service won’t cost a penny! Five Super Savings: Five top web sites for valuable online coupons {WalletPop}

May 7th 2009 6:08AM Good Morning everyone,

I saw the article about money saving tips and think it is great that people are sharing their ideas. It means we can all learn something and hopefully save some money. I think with all the financial worries going around at the moment, we all need to be more aware of our spending. I thought I would share my new tip with you, I have now recently become a bit of a fan of electronic greetings cards. I have spent ages on the internet and have found a really cool free eCard greetings site. I think this is such a great idea as a money saving technique! I dread to link how money I have spent over the years on papers cards, and postage! I like this particular site because it always seems to have new designs to choose from, so I have never become bored. They also have a great application called 'Face It' where you can upload your own photos to add that extra personal touch, which is a great idea. I hope this piece of information helps, let me know!

Trove Eco-Friendly Clothing - StyleList Giveaway! {Stylelist (Main)}

Apr 30th 2009 7:07AM Hey everyone,

I saw the article about going green and being more eco friendly which is great. I love the fact that lots of people are waking up to the fact that the planet is in trouble and that we need to act now in order to help. Man really needs to change his ways in order to save Mother Nature. I think with global warming creeping up on us, I think it is very important that we become more aware of trying to lower our carbon emissions, and try and do right by the planet. I think we can all do our little bit extra to try and help! At home I always shut the computer down rather than putting it to sleep, and always turn off electrics rather than leave them on stand by. These tips may seem small, but if everyone pulled together then I think we could really make a difference to the world. Another hint I have is that I now use e-Cards rather than buying paper cards. Not only are you saving money if you choose a free site, but more importantly, you are helping the environment by saving paper, and therefore less trees need to be chopped down! I have done my research and finally found the best free Environmentally Friendly e-Card site. It is really easy to use, which is great if like me you are not very good with computers! I really like this particular site as there is just so much choice. I know e-Cards are not for everyone but think of the environment it really is a great way to help out and do your bit! Kind Regards, Nic
