Feb 16th 2011 11:38PM I run a turtle and tortoise rescue and we used to ship rescues from terrible homes to our sanctuary from all over the US but never after October and before June. While my heart goes out to the owners, and I am a devout cat lover, anyone with half a brain knows that the animals and your luggage sit on the tarmac for hours and sometimes for several days if the weather is bad. I am talking snow and extreme heat - so i stopped shipping because while I never lost an animal I always worried from the time they left their destination to the time they arrived. If my cat cost that much or meant that much - and mine do - I would have bought it a seat. Or tranquilized it and put it under the seat in a carrier. There is fault on both sides.

This is disgusting and everyone involved in the shopping center should be horrified at the excess in this time of huge unemployment. Put in an animal shelter, a kid adoption center, an unemployment office and a food bank and call it quits.
