Bam Margera Mourns Loss of Ryan Dunn: 'It Shouldn't Have Been Him' (Video) {PopEater}
Jun 29th 2011 8:58PM C'mon. The guy was plastered (the video the same night showed him taking down a quart of tequila, and he seemed proud of it...) Get real. Yes, it's a loss, to his family and friends, however, this is the poster boy for "what not to do." The rest of you using profanity and vulgar terms to damage people that are just trying to say, "Don't do that, maybe you won't kill yourself, or other people....." are trying to say, just that, rather nicely, considering.
Get real. The guy was messed up.....drove recklessly, and really screwed up. And it only takes one day to get a tox report back. There is nothing to protect or defend here. He got drunk, drove his car way too fast, and screwed up, big time. The really scary thing here is, people actually looked up to this fool. And still do.
Oprah's Dream Interview: A Confessing O.J. Simpson {PopEater}
Jun 17th 2011 12:31PM Let's put this all to rest already. Everybody knows, EVERYBODY knows that OJ killed Nicole and Ron. EVERYBODY knows this. For Oprah to "dream" she would get "the confession...," Well, that is just pretty funny. Murderers don't lie, afterall, do they? And Sue, hate to break the news, but Scott Peterson DID kill his wife, his mistress even figured that part out. (Went fishing,
Christmas Eve, wife disappears, doesn't call the cops, calls his mistress...body gets found pretty close to where he "went fishing," what a guy. Etc.) OJ takes a slow Bronco to Tijuana, with disguise, cash, and a gun in the car...who really needs a "confession" except for Oprah's ratings????
Name My (Sweet) Ride for a Chance to Win a HP Veer phone {Gadling}

Name My (Sweet) Ride for a Chance to Win a HP Veer phone {Gadling}
Jun 15th 2011 12:54AM Well, I had a 1968 Ford Fairlane 500, black, with a red and white interior, a hit with my high school dates. On the hood were the individual letters: F O R D, which if you left normal, were all in line. I changed it to D O R F, which when you do this, makes an interesting arc. I also had a '61 VW bug, which got burned up in a garage fire set by an arsonist. Long story short, AAA towed it away, without my permission, so I drove it home. I had to kick out the windshield, so I wore swimming goggles. The cop that pulled me over had no clue how to write me up....so that bug got named, "The Volks Toastie." (Give me a break, I was 16 at the time.)
Parents Upset After School Yearbook Lists George W. Bush, Dick Cheney as Worst People of All Time {ParentDish}
Jun 2nd 2011 5:05PM Yoiu know, this whole "controversy" is amazing...the Superintendant did not notice, the faculty yearbook adviser did not notice. The kids running the yearbook staff, ran amok. Point being...back in my day, Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger were the bad guys (around 1973) but they were the ones that actually stopped the killing in Vietnam. I'm suprised they didn't show up on the "worst five people" list. Richard Nixon, stopped the war (our military action) in Vietnam, and even brought the people that managed to get out, back to the United States. Like it or not, that's what happened. But the real point is......a High School Yearbook, should be about Prom, if the Sports were good, what Band was doing, what the Drama Club was doing. NOT POLITICAL INDOCRINATION by people that are also pretty ignorant. The eighteen year olds will get a big taste of the real world, soon enough. (And my NIxon comments....if you don't agree, you got lied to in Hgh School. Deal with it. Who brought our troops back? JFK?.....LBJ?) But to make my point very clearly, you have to know what "The Fish Cheer" was. Back in 1971, I almost got away with playing that one, (Google it.) I played it at something we called "Radio Free (insert High School name here)." I thought it was hilariaous, the Principal didn't, he was right, I was wrong. But I ran my high school, the teachers pretty much didn't. There is no room, in a High School Yearbook, for the screwed up politics of adults. And the egos of children that have never really seen the bad side of the world. And the indoctrination, that follows.

John Galliano Said to Be Headed to Rehab; Fashion World Opens Up About His Actions {Stylelist (Main)}
Mar 2nd 2011 6:46PM Everybody is missing the obvious joke here.....Is he a "Fashion" designer, or a "Fascist" designer. It's just clothes, after all.
The only thing I know is.....I would never be caught in public with the clothes this guy (?) designs.
SmackDown: Would You Publicly Punish Your Child? {ParentDish}
Feb 22nd 2011 8:56PM Uhhh....Tammy....."Sparing the Rod" means "Letting your Child Run Amok." You might want to figure out your words, before you write them.
Not what I'm saying. I didn't say, "Don't discipline your child." What I AM saying, is don't wait until your child "acts out" (that's the clinical way of saying things.) Some things are obvious, BEFORE the child openly misbehaves. Instead of having this "mother" resort to hanging a sign around his head (MOCKING HIM IN PUBLIC), this mother should have noticed something was wrong two years ago. But it must be everyone else's fault, right?
If your child is falling asleep at school, set a bedtime.
If your child is angry, find out why.
If your child is showing "new behavior" that is not "normal," find out why.
Don't give out rewards that are not deserved.
Children learn, from how they are treated. They want, and crave, adventure, but it should be measured out by people smart enough to SHOW THE PROPER EXAMPLE.
The simple answer (gasp) is to actually sit down with your kid, and tell them (gasp) why what they are doing is wrong. And set up some ground rules.
SmackDown: Would You Publicly Punish Your Child? {ParentDish}
Feb 22nd 2011 8:15PM Oh. Adding to my own comment above, and observing some of the things that have been "written" here.....most of you have flunked simple English.
And giving a child a "good old fashioned a**whooping" is a good excuse for a violent society.
Things to think about: The teachers that are trusted to educate YOUR CHILDREN get an average of 30-35 students per class. You, as parents get two or three (on average.) These teachers spend as much or more time with YOUR CHILDREN than you do. They are not convenient babysitters. Neither are your electronic babysitters, the TV, the video games, myspace, cell phones......blah blah blah.
How do you train a dog? You tell the dog: "Sit, Stay, Heel." When the dog does what you want, you give the dog a doggie treat. You NEVER PUNISH THE DOG!!!!!! You NEVER hit the dog. And you NEVER reward the dog, before you get the desired result.
Specifically, in this case, if this child was falling asleep at his school desk, not understanding the importance of a schedule.....this problem was not with the school, but what was going on at home.
Kids ARE "knowledge sponges...." sometimes that "knowledge" is not positive.
