Aug 23rd 2009 2:08AM Or maybe some guy that always drove BMW bought the R8 and his BMW driving pals are having some fun with him? I have a friend who collects diecast model cars and I always set up the lesser brand model cars to be humping a Ferrari when he's not looking.
Feb 14th 2008 3:45PM A celebrity can slip on a full face helmet and they are then just another motorcycle rider going down the road. Instant anonymity, at least for a time. There is a story out of Spain about a fellow who ran out of gas and a motorcyclist stopped to give him a hand. The rider looked familiar to the stranded fellow who finally enquired about his identity after accepting a lift into town. The rider under the helmet? King Juan Carlos of Spain out for a ride alone on his motorcycle.
Jul 9th 2007 4:04PM The ZeroCorpse: "If this makes me an "eco snob" then fine. Better that than an ignorant, selfish, Luddite."
Your reply would indicate that you are an overly sensitive, verbose, eco-snob.
Jul 8th 2007 7:29PM Another green toy for rich eco-snobs. Real people will buy a small scooter or motorcycle for $2000-$4000 and get 75 - 100 mpg. You can use the rest of your money to buy carbon offset credits from Al Gore.
Jul 5th 2007 2:12PM Look at the photos with this article. One shows a man, the other shows a chinless metro-sexual. I could see re-making "The Velvateen Rabbit" with Brad Pitt as the star but not "Bullitt."
May 17th 2007 12:52PM I have no trouble getting parts for my '95 Ford F250 pick-up truck.
Dec 11th 2006 11:17AM I see it as one more sign of Big Brother creeping into our lives. The government is monitoring one more aspect of behavior because the technology allows them to do so. Wait until your car's OBD system and engine management system is tied to GPS and digitally transmitted speed limits. Speeding and tailgating will be gone but so will freedom to control your vehicle. I work in the auto industry and you'd all be horrified if you knew what was being planned by politicians, technocrats, and engineers. Tailgating tickets are the least of the worries.
